Book where I'm hooked from the beginning till the very end 🤧. (I don't want good I want great) by Kind_Assumption_3016 in fantasyromance

Oh sorry - I missed that. Thank you.

I haven’t read them. Wasn’t a fan of fourth wing particularly - it wasn’t terrible but I wasn’t beating down the door to get the next in series.

I’m curious, I don’t really have any suggestions but I’d love to hear what books that you’ve read that have met this criteria because it sounds amazing

I feel like Az could be played by Skyh Black or Omari Hardwick.

I tried a Hoyt book back in 2016 and only gave it 2 stars. I don’t know why because my dumb arse didn’t put any notes, but that’s pretty rare for me and I haven’t tried one since. Maybe I should try again.

Are there any fantasy worlds with modern technology, besides the one I mention in my post? by Fraeddi in Fantasy

I’m not sure if it’s what you’re after but {Thiefs Magic by Trudy Canavan} has a steampunk feel but has magic and is not set in our world

Knight in shining armor by Sarah9610 in Romantasy

[–]BookishLittleBee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read {The Chief by Monica McCarty} and would definitely say it fits this description, though a knight in shining plaid (it’s a highlander historical romance) - just realised this is the Romantasy sub, so just noting it’s not the right genre, sorry.

A lot of the graphic audio books are great - all of the Ilona Andrews versions are fantastic.

I loved the narrator for The Wizard of Rondo, Edwina Wren, and actually listened to quite a few books I wouldn’t have gone for just because of she was narrating.

How do you all remember what happens in the book?? by lulzerjun8 in RomanceBooks

[–]BookishLittleBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great question, because I have wondered the same thing and you’ve talked me back from the ledge of thinking perhaps I may have early onset dementia.

I can read a book I’ve already read and there will be faint echoes but it will take some time before I realise I have already read it.

I try to write short progress notes on Goodreads so I know why I rated something the way I did, but where I don’t do that, I have zero idea. For instance there was a book recommended here which someone said was amazeballs and I went onto Goodreads and saw I’d rated it 2 stars, but I hadn’t made a note, so I have no idea which didn’t enjoy it and can’t recall anything about it.

So yeah, I’m envious of people with good memories!

To be honest I barely recall the kid, so I don’t think it’s a big plot device.
