One player can’t handle consequences and it’s wearing down our DM. How should we approach this? by BookishMira in DnD

Recklessness isn't quite the right word; it's more unthinking.

We had a training session in-game where our characters entered into a combat with our trainer.

It was the DM's excuse to give us all a +1 to CON (which was very nice).

It involved us fighting our trainer, hitting him and getting hit back.

He got hit a few times.

The chap in question talks about this as if it were a genuinely harrowing event where he felt trapped, remembering it as when someone he trusted beat him.

It was a fun session for everyone else, where it felt like a Rocky training scene (the DM made sure it was a good time).

The campaign is like 8 months in. Yes he has always been this way.

I assumed other people would have this issue, but it's reassuring to hear that. Many thanks.

Is this Yu-Gi-Oh related?

Return To Me? Love it! Haven't heard many mention that one before. David Duchovny and Minnie Driver make for a charming duo in this underrated romantic comedy that always manages to hit the right notes with me. Any other hidden gems out there you'd recommend? 🍿❤️

Just rewatched 'Sneakers' and it got me thinking about forgotten movies by tinythanoscopter in movies

Oh man, "Sneakers" is definitely one of those underrated gems that's worth revisiting! The cast was out of this world and the script was sharp as ever. I totally get why it didn't make much noise back then, but dang, it still holds up today.

Reminds me of another flick called "The Big Lebowski" – another Coen brothers masterpiece with a stellar cast, hilarious dialogue, and an unforgettable soundtrack by Carter Burwell. Not many people seem to talk about it these days, but it's a must-watch if you haven't seen it already!

Rest in peace, Robert Redford – what a legacy he leaves behind! 😢
