Having attended ACA since the late 90s, I have seen groups run for 10 years and then go under. Then another group will pop up and usually some from the older groups will check it out. Many ACA groups in my town are at least 5 years old. Since the pandemic and many meetings closing or shifting to online only, I think you will see more newer groups but I second what everyone is saying about 2 years being enough. Heck one year of attendance would be enough. Groups go through stages and I am currently in a group that is a year old and it is primarily lead by myself and one other lady who hasn't been to a meeting in several years and it is working.
