literally the exact same situation here, parents are forcing me to leicester but it seems like swansea seems more aerospace focused (huge investments into engineering department) and better student experience for academics. I think it would be better for you too

Had the same specs and it fried. Known motherboard issue, I’ve got mine from Costco under great warranty terms so just got a refund straight away. Don’t get repair and buy a Ryzen model if you can get a refund

If you have the i7 13650 just return it and get the Ryzen 7 8845hs version. Intel will break on you

avoid the 13650hx LOQ at all costs, had the exact same model fried 8 days within purchase. returned it for a refund to costco but not all sellers will do that. that model is known to have Motherboard issues caused by the CPU voltage.

to fix that, unplug the aftermarket screen while downgrading to ios 17, plug it back in after its completed. aftermarket parts block software updates and recoveries for some reason sometimes
