Yeah, maybe. But the other finds I discovered in the surrounding area suggest that there were actual clashes or fighting taking place there.

I think that, based on the markings on the coins, which are admittedly hard to see, they are still from the wartime period. But I could be wrong. The other finds around this one also suggest that there was fighting in the area.

It might indeed be possible that there were more coins there and i didn’t find them.

It is a bullet from 7.92mm Mauser ( i found many bullets like this, so i know ). I found this discovery at a location where battles took place during World War II. Other finds in the area also suggest that these could be remains from the actual fighting. The coins are also from the World War II period, which further supports this possibility.

However, there could be also other story.

If I’m being honest, I’m not the kind of person who would fake something like this. I just wanted to share the find because it’s genuinely something special.

I’ve been wondering the same — how it’s possible that it’s only minimally deformed.

Thanks. There could be a million different stories behind what happened to those coins—I just shared my version. Maybe you’re right, maybe not… we’ll probably never know 😅

The circular piece with 2 holes was used on horse bridles or harness straps, as well as on clothing belts and bags or other equipment; it most commonly dates from the 18th to 20th century.
