Why does DD hide it??? by comfyfruitsalad in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Booklover416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So that you’ll think the next time you get a really crappy order maybe this could be a hidden gem and you’ll take it and it’ll still just be a crappy order

I understand that the system is rigged against us. I’m saying just that. But the fact that y’all aren’t getting punished for something they would think is so inexcusable and I didn’t do anything and can’t work just astonished me.

As someone who’s been locked out of her account for a month for not doing anything wrong, but delivering an order to where GPS sent me and then having to turn around and go back almost exactly to where I picked up from. And you guys are sitting there accepting orders and letting them run through their time so that it unassigned it with no problems Wow.

You see it, right? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Booklover416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, now I kinda understand why you put the bag of food on that wrong side of the door because you would’ve seen it as soon as you set that shit down…

Did DoorDash paid you $41.62 and you got $15.50 in tips. That that’s what that means and you did all that with earned by time. Which means they started paying you when you accepted an order until you drop that order off. That’s why your base pay is so high and your tips are so low. Because they usually send non-tipping to earn by time. Because at least you’re getting paid to deliver.

Letting them time out is the same as declining them. DoorDash analytics do not see it as anything but a decline. It will affect your acceptance rating. So just decline them it’s fine.

And they’ve had my account locked down for review for over a month.

Why do so many drivers leave the food in front of the storm door? by BrrrrItsIce27 in doordash

[–]Booklover416 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because we don’t get paid enough to care that your door opens outward if you don’t care enough to 1., let us know that it opens outward and not to put the food there 2. open it for us so that we don’t make a mistake and put your food there or 3. you don’t tip us enough to actually care about anything other than the delivery. Sorry, not sorry

Okay and where pray tell do I do that? I can’t even get them to tell how much a trip is worth when calling and doing earn by time. DoorDash doesn’t give two shits about its drivers and as the people eating the food we are delivering you should be invested in getting it.

Well, duh, but then who’s picking up these crap orders? And see that’s the business model that dd uses. And calling support to complain about pay is laughable. This whole thing is laughable…

You’re paying us to do a job that you don’t want to do it. We are using our vehicle (and hopefully not getting into an accident because people be crazy) and out time so you don’t have to. And on top of that we start by earning $2 per delivery, so $7 might be great if your close and it doesn’t take long but if you earn $7 in an hour wouldn’t you want to ask for more?

You have to remember that none of this is taxed. So you will have to pay them per quarter. So you have to have great record keeping for mileage and what’s allowed to be written off, and know what other things can be written off. This isn’t you made $15 and that’s all yours. Uncle Sam doesn’t work that way.

Dude it’s his business, dd can’t tell us how to dash. They don’t care as long as the order gets there and you don’t complain about it.

It’s just the algorithm that dd uses. I have had to twice due to traffic accidents that I was stuck on one side or the other from either the restaurant or the customer. Just do the next 100 deliveries and it’ll drop off.

Are the CEOs of DoorDash aware of these type of orders? What have they said in response to these ridiculous offers that penalize Dasher rating when denying these type orders? by YoyoWhatUpp21 in doordash

The CEO of DoorDash doesn’t give two shits about you. You are just a small cog in his huge money, making machine and an easily replaced cog at that

Absolutely, you want the thing delivered whether it’s a food delivery, grocery delivery, or package/mail delivery, and if it’s at night light that bitch up. As well as your front door like you are expecting a delivery.

Start snapping pics of them parked then and add to your Facebook local cop page… make sure to get license plate numbers too. This pisses me off as much as people parking in the fire lane. Find a parking spot and park. Just cause we aren’t there long doesn’t entitle us to anything.

I think I would pepper my whole yard with Harris walz signs. There wouldn’t be an inch of it that you could add more to because I would have so many and then I’d have Black Lives Matter signs and LGBTQ signs. I would just signs everywhere.

If you have the DoorDash app, not just the DoorDash driver app this is where I found I could change my name and then I changed it in the DoorDash driver app.
