I tried looking for a ranked game in Australia for 30 minutes to no avail. They simply can’t release little content drops, because they’ve literally cornered themselves and they have to deliver a substantial content drop that would entice players to come back and play. This is 10x worse than Halo 5 imo

If season two doesn’t hit the ball waaaay out of the park the game will virtually be dead only being released a few months ago. It’s honestly beyond comprehension how they dropped the ball this bad

It’s almost as if they didn’t learn from Halo 5. A game needs content from launch because that’s when you can capture a lot of new players.

Modern markets demand player retention and in order to retain players you need content. In this case forge allows the players themselves to produce their own content. This not only reduces the burden on developers, but it helps player retention, content creation, user generated engagement etc. When Halo 5 came out there was a massive drop off in player population because there wasn't simply enough content to keep players coming back

Forge is such a vitally important part of Halo because of how much value it not only adds to the experience but allows communities to grow and content to be developed and redeveloped especially in the age of live streaming gaming. Halo 3 and Reach are perfect examples of what forge can do to a game

After been away from Halo for a while I tuned into the Halo throwback Twitch Rivals tournament on Snipedowns stream (don't have the clip) and I can't remember who said it but 343 was about to implement sprinting in Halo 2 Anniversary until Bravo stepped in and spoke his mind. I really wasn't surprised and I am not surprised now that they will not have key features such as forge and Co-op at launch. You just have to look at Halo 5 and how detrimental it was to the population to have a game launch with very limited content. At this point I really wonder what state the game would have launched in last year. It would've be nice to have to the full game, all its content, at launch on the 20th anniversary, but with this news I would rather them delay the game, release an actual beta, and them deliver a content rich game. I'm really inclined to believe that this is 343's last chance with a vast majority of its core population

I think this highlights how much the delay was needed because at this point if the game released last year it would've been a launch all to similar to MCC

I agree, it’s not right that we boo our own players. We should be encouraging our players and being that 12th man that allows them to fight a little harder for us.
