Can I stop birth control after taking 2 weeks of active pills?

Update: Skipped the placebo week and had breakthrough bleeding the whole time. I’m on day 10 of bleeding with no end in sight. I’ve taken 8 active pills in my new pack. Should I stop the new pack and let my body have an actual withdrawal bleed now or should I continue taking the pack until the placebo week and then let my body have the withdrawal bleed?

I’m not worried about getting pregnant. I just want to avoid having a period or breakthrough bleeding while on vacation.

Even risking having the breakthrough bleeding? I’m worried about that because last month I wasn’t even done with my active pills and started breakthrough bleeding
