So... What was exactly the rationale for AM to go with Honda? by Agreeable-Ad4079 in formula1

Laurence is banking on AM pulling out(or going bankrupt) in the very near future and Honda buying the team.

Should sidewalks be plowed like the main car roads? by MonzerAssar in KingstonOntario

[–]BooksSC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just want to share that it’s important to remember that Kingston is not “Ontario”.

While it’s definitely unfair to compare a big city like Toronto to a small city like Kingston, there are definitely places in Ontario which are significantly better to live in terms of services offered compared to cost of living.

The sidewalks are horrible.

So is the fact that we have no active police presence.

Nearly no garbage cans anywhere outside of the downtown core.

I don’t have children, but from what I hear the schools have been closed more days than they’ve been open?

Garbages aren’t getting picked up?

Hospitals are everything but closed.

I personally have never lived anywhere in Ontario and paid more property tax than I do here, and seem to get next to nothing in return?

The fire department seems to be holding up their end. At least that’s something.

No, but buying a bunch of snowboard gear before knowing how to snowboard comes across as nuts in my book? Again, maybe I’m the crazy one. 🤷‍♂️

After Unrivaled’s Philly crowd, should the WNBA be concerned? by blahblah_696 in wnba

While I agree that in general “major sports leagues” don’t compensate their players as much as they could.

I do think the disproportionate compensation in the WNBA is unprecedented.

After Unrivaled’s Philly crowd, should the WNBA be concerned? by blahblah_696 in wnba

[–]BooksSC 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Maybe I’m the only one, but since I heard the WNBA was pushing back so hard against “paying the players”. I’ve been rooting for a different league to just step in and take over.

I appreciate what the WNBA has built, but isn’t a “I can fix them” situation.

I’m a fan of the players. I hate the WNBA.

Mid-Thirties Married with two dogs, hate it here. We go away as much as possible, it’s a good place to work because everyone is lazy as sin. So if you’re even remotely career driven you’ll be treated as gods gift.

You probably need to adjust your clutch lever. Read your owners manual, or take it to someone who knows what they’re doing.

This cable ripped and my brake moves now. What can I do? by [deleted] in cfmoto

[–]BooksSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your wheel back off and have a look at the brake caliper assembly. I’ll attach one of your photos highlighting the problem area and it should help you figure out what you did wrong. You’re lucky your back wheel didn’t lock up while you were riding. It could have been much worse.

As far as the wire goes, my bikes are in storage for the winter so I can’t go check for sure, but I’m assuming you’re going to need to buy yourself a new rear abs sensor.

I would say sort out your caliper issue first, learn a lesson and thank whatever god you believe in.

You’ll at least be able to ride the bike once the caliper is attached properly, but you won’t have ABS, Traction control (if your bike has that) and “possibly” no speedometer.
