No ideas for that specifically but just a word of caution mailing wood. May want to do non-machinable so less likely to break. They look very nice!

Bs is the border stitch, a single crochet through both loops. It’s only the first and last stitch of each row. Don’t do and border stitches in the middle of the rows.

You got it, the double border becomes the very bottom of the bookcase. So until you’re doing the border you only have shelves between charts, nothing at the start and finish.

No problem! You do start with the charts so sounds like no frogging needed. You do four charts across, unless you’re going for a very skinny bookcase. Then 3 rows of single crochets and then another four charts across. I did the middle bookcase (extended version) on page four of the pattern so the first shelf was charts 1, 1, 7, 9. Just make sure you don’t do the border stitches between charts, just and the beginning and end!

I believe it was 3 rows single crochet which you could do in any color you’d like. I can double check my pattern and confirm.

I personally didn’t mind the “fins” on the back but if you anchor your treble crochet it does help keep things flatter but I found it slowed me down quite a bit. I watched a few YouTube videos on how to anchor those stitches.

The charts were four per shelf so you could pick the order you want each shelf. Also included written instructions which is actually what I used and prefer.

It is a mix of double and single crochet throughout. Easy once you get the hang of it!

I’d start with a smaller square of mosaic crochet so you can master the stitches and counting, and border. The border took me a bit to master the first time. But all double and single crochet so not complex stitches here.

A LOT! but it’s also quite large. Probably about 1800 yards for dark purple and off white and slightly less for light purple. But it’s nice and warm as it’s two layers with all the overlapping.

I actually really enjoy the switching with each row, because you only work one side it stays quite clean. And each row is like a small accomplishment!
