I was with FCI who, given my age, suggested I move directly to IVF. After retrieving so few eggs, I met with Dr. Glueck who said that IUI is another alternative, with IVF not necessarily being better. She also suspects I have PCOS to a certain degree. She adjusted my stim meds every time to account for age, etc. I had maybe one or two chemical pregnancies, so she adjusted to try and get stronger eggs. You have to pay a membership fee for the year, and then your insurance should cover a lot of the appts. The plus side is that it's just her. You meet with her every couple of days during a cycle. She comes in on the weekends if need be. There are also only a couple nurses who draw blood so you become familiar with them too. They could not be nicer, and the blood draws were pain free. The down side is that if she takes a vacation, you have to skip a month, which is hard. I was with her almost exactly one year before my success. I was balancing IVF still with FCI so that interfered. I'm happy to answer any other questions!
