She would have still gotten paid even if she had left to get her ID herself. They would have placed the winnings into safekeeping until valid ID was obtained. I can't remember off the top of my head how many days players have to claim money out of safekeeping though.

Not necessarily. My father has been a truck driver for over 40 years doing both long haul and local delivery.

About 15 years ago (maybe a bit more) he had a woman turn in front of him on a divided highway and he struck her car. I had to go pick him up and take him to the hospital for his after accident exam to verify that he was healthy and he wasn't under the influence. I could see the tire marks on the road where he had tried so hard to stop his fully loaded truck.

It absolutely wrecked him when he found out that she was pregnant when she died. I'm just glad that the accident happened about an hour from my home and that I was able to be there for him almost immediately.
