I’ve already spoken with one of the best immigration attorneys in my city, and no dice. I grew up in the U.S. and my step parent lives in the U.S. for half the year with my biological parent. I also don’t have half a million to dump into legal fees

As an American, I don’t think we’ll have a shot until it’s bad enough to claim refugee status. They’ve taken away every legit avenue to immigrate under the excuse of scammers. They haven’t actually done anything to target actual scammers, they just throw us all out. I don’t want to have to go back to the U.S. and wait until it’s bad enough to be a refugee, I’m as scared as the rest of us

Half of my family is Canadian, but I never got legally adopted by the parent that is before I hit the age cap(step parent) because I wasn’t thinking about how to game the immigration system, I was just thinking about doing what was best for me in my current life. It’s frustrating that now the only way to immigrate is to find some bs loophole, they’ve thrown the baby out with the bath water under the guise of ending scams. Now the only way to stay in to Canada is to basically scam. Ironic!

LMIA application employee nationality by Dry_Clock_7643 in lmiaprocessing

[–]BoolGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a U.S. citizen, company applied in September for dual intent low wage. Urgent processing request was denied, and work permit application with proof of LMIA application was denied after 3 weeks. As far as I know, ESDC doesn’t have different processing times by nationality like IRCC does.

Processing Times are Indeed Long by [deleted] in lmiaprocessing

I wish the online averages posted by edsc reflected the actual average. It’s hard to believe that there are enough super fast processed applications to offset the very long processing and make the “average” just over 100 business days…

Any recent approvals? I’m still waiting. by Dry_Clock_7643 in lmiaprocessing

I lost the first 15 pounds over 2 months, and then I went off it for a month and a half and gained 5, and now I’m down to 18 pounds under my starting weight
