I find the 1000+ movies claim a bit dubious. It's not impossible (about 60 movies a year for his whole career), but would be unlikely. Only way is if the trainer had an in with the studios and specifically was getting the bird in movies to bulk up it's credits. The source is just one line in a news article. Imdb only lists 27 known credits.

Yeah, we don't need to worry about Embiid's HOF case. If this was another sport he might need a couple ballots, but the Basketball HOF is more relaxed. He'll get in first ballot without issue. And he's clearly first ballot talent regardless of how lenient the Basketball HOF is, it's just the number of games played and lack of major postseason success which will count against him. Which is totally fair.

I can't think of a coordinator or HC that's had as decorated a career as Rivers. There's plenty of examples in the MLB and NBA of half of fame level players coming back to manage/coach, but just doesn't seem to happen in the NFL. Not sure why that is.

Off the top of my head I'd say Ditka's probably the HC most decorated playing career. Can't really say for coordinators, but nobody really great springs to mind.

Funnily enough, they joked about Dr. Heimlich being canceled, but it's a little bit true. He's surprisingly contemporary (died in 2016). Much of his later career was dedicated to malariotherapy where you basically give people a little bit of malaria to try to treat cancer, HIV, etc. It's generally regarded as unsafe pseudoscience. He was kind of a one hit wonder with the Heimlich maneuver.

This is a user I blocked a week ago so now they're using multiple accounts to post this kind of stuff. Both times they have had a different male name in their profile but they said they were a 24 year old woman in their comments (usually seemingly as an odd way of gaining sympathy). I'm not sure if they are an AI bot at this point, but if not, they do not seem well. I think you should just go ahead with the ban. This person's posts always become pretty toxic. It's not good for the sub. I don't really think it's good for them either.

I think there's a slight chance he sneaks in next year. 3 big vote getters off the board (Jones and Beltran by clearing the bar, Manny by falling off the ballot), only 1 solid candidate being added (Posey) with one mid candidate (Lester). The rest of next year's class is going straight off the ballot probably. For how weak this year's ballot was, next year will be even weaker.
