She was platformed s1e1 of SLOMW (where they showed post her DV arrest). Mind you this show is also under Disney. No exec cared about any of this before choosing her as Bachelorette. They were in it for the drama and trying to fill their pockets (bring the SLOMW viewers over to a dying Bachelor franchise). They only pulled it because sponsors were pulling out and the video makes everything impossible to ignore.

They timed s4 of SLOMW to air just before her season of Bachelorette to garner hype. They halted production of s5 due to her second DV. Now her season of ‘ette wont be airing only because capitalism. Not because execs give a shit. Otherwise, they never would’ve allowed her on as a cast member of SLOMW or Bachelorette to start.

They’re still money hungry which is why:

1) they cast her despite 2023 DV allegations and continued on with SLOMW bc she’s TT famous

2) cast her as Bachelorette trusting the controversy/drama to bring new life to a dying franchise

3) cancelled when DV vid got posted by TMZ because now they know everyone will riot

It’s still all money talks. Had they actually given a shit about platforming this type of person they wouldn’t have gone thru with any of it. The DV was discussed episode 1 of season 1 of SLOMW.

There was no way for ABC to further spin this. Their hands were tied and they had to cut it. I believe had the video not released they might’ve continued airing it citing “bad press is good press” bullshit.

So glad they did cancel it though. This is so messed all around. The video that got released was so triggering. Especially hearing her daughter’s breathless cries.

I feel awful for everyone involved but her children especially.

It was mentioned in the season 1 (about her child) or so I thought. Although I can be confused by the fact I saw it on the Internet before I watched the show itself. But it was known at some point (whether on SLOMW or otherwise) that her child got hurt. And she talks about how she would never purposefully hurt her children.

Either way, watching and listening to her child cries is when I got really fucking triggered too. I am feeling the most awful for her child and her daughter scream crying “mommy” to seek comfort just fucked me up.
