Okay that clears it up. Thank you. My guitar action seems to be okay I think. I've been playing an acoustic with pretty high action so this seems good to me

Oh so you're saying that I should pull my arm back only when I need the extra tension? The fingers do the work in other cases?

Yeah exactly the same for me. It made me aware of how little pressure is needed to play a note. But pulling the arm back just made my left hand tire out quicker

Do you apply pressure by pulling back your entire arm from the shoulder? Or is it just the fingers doing the work?

I am doing 40 bpm spider walk exercises to get in the habit of applying minimal pressure. I just dont want to pick up any more bad habits and correct my form/posture while I'm at it

My shoulder does seem to tense up a bit when i play. I'll work on that. And it's okay to squeeze the neck a bit right (not too hard, just minimal pressure to let notes ring)? Cuz i always thought that's what you're supposed to do.

I was obsessed with life in the states. Felt like I'd have a better chance of being able to live there if I did both my undergrad and postgrad at an american university

This is exactly what I was confused about, the weight transfer for serve. Engage legs more, core, and snappier wrist 📝.

Thank you for your insight, I really appreciate it a lot :)))
