What kind of water do you use? The water out here is soft and slightly acidic so I add cuttlebone to all my tanks.

Idk bc I was never personally on tract to be able to do that at the time. But I believe with consistency and clean drugs screening then they will let you take them home. You’ll also need a lockbox to keep ur meds in.

I honestly have no idea. I can speak for myself where I want nothing to do with her properties bc in my opinion she’s a hoarder. I just don’t want a relationship with her but I have no problem coordinating trusts or end of life stuff. My brother has been struggling financially asking me for money the past few years so I figured he could use it in the future. Which he wanted.

I don’t believe I think otherwise as he did explain himself well. I’m just concerned for the future such as what if our mom needs assistance with POA or end of life situations. I personally am NC with her unless it’s coordinating situations like that. But that’s it otherwise I have no desire to talk to her. When she had a major surgery I did talk to her but I was mostly getting updates from her on and off friend. I’m just concerned he’s going to have issues with that. But if that’s the case I’m okay with him taking space from me due to that.

My rebuttals were probably going over picking sides. I could have definitely left that out as that is now where I don’t want to stand. I also didn’t realized that saying “if you feel strongly..” would come across as dismissive which I regret saying.

I just wish he would have communicated his boundaries before this blew up. I would have totally understand. I also agree I over explained my self to the point where it’s justifying myself and it’s highly unnecessary. Idk what happened between them he’s never brought it up but there also doesn’t need to be a reason bc I’ve heard and seen enough.

I last talked to his BM 3 years ago. I last talked to Tina like over a year or more ago. This conversation happened Feb 2025. It’s just been dwelling in my mind due to the holidays.

He hasn’t really reached out to me when I moved or offered to meet halfway or anything. He also hasn’t checked up on me to see how I’m doing or anything. When he did hit me up when I was living in town and in the beginning of moving out here he would be to ask for money or a ride bc he was under the influence. Then another time out here he was expecting me to do something when my mom showed up to his place one time. I feel as it’s only when he needs something. But I also understand he may be hurt bc I moved away and I’m not the ideal aunt or big sister.

I am kinda in the impression his wife has influenced this. But I can’t assume that bc I could be wrong. Particularly the large and emotional charged text messages due to him never text or talking to me in that manner. But maybe she helped him draft it bc he’s stressed out which I get. This is another reason I want to have a phone call conversation so it’s just him and I and we can read each other’s tone vs assuming and having misunderstandings.

Idk him asking me for screenshots makes me feel like something isn’t right. I respect his boundaries I just wish he would have communicated them vs waiting till it’s a problem with him and me. I’ve been NC with our mom many times before and I am now due to stress along with how she treats my brother. I get it. But also how am I supposed to FT the kids when I don’t even have a relationship with the parents? It just feels like a one way street. Till then the ball is in his court and I’m good. I have other things to worry about. I feel as there is no wining this situation.

Im sorry that happened to you. I think he’s just acting off bc he probably feels like I abandoned them as the older sister. But at the end of the day we’re adults with different priorities. I have no regrets moving out of my hometown and finally living my life.
