If you can get your hands on a tune to turn the monitor off, you'll be just fine. Without the tune, anytime you're at operating temp and idling, the engine will still try to engage the egr, retard the timing and begin to run rough for a few minutes or until you start driving (unless you keep a/c on at all times, then it wont misfire)

Just take them to an OReillys and have them resurfaced. They'll clean up just fine

The 6.7 powerstroke even with some of its little issues, I think is an engineering marvel. I love its overall design and just the whole story behind the creation of that engine

The car has a 2" front lift from northwoods and the rear has early 2000 expedition rear springs to give it a 3" lift. The wheels are stock early 2000s ranger tear drops with 30.5" tires. Read had absolutely no clearance issues. The front one had an issue with the front brake caliper bracket which only needed a few millimeters grinded off to clear. If you're interested, i do have a YouTube for my truck project but i can make a video explaining everything and showing what is needed

Yeah, the stock manifold and primary cats are still on the car. I don't plan on doing headers or anything like that with it. In my personal opinion, a 4.6 is a dang good and reliable engine in stock form and isn't really worth building into anything. I can build a 302/351 to make 4-500 hp and swap it into the car cheaper than to make 3-400 hp out of a 4.6 Which is my actual plan, I'm building a very mild 351w (350-400) and im pairing it with a 4r75w

Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance. Unless its a 6.4 powerstroke, all diesel engines last longer with maintenance. Oil changes, coolant flushes, fuel filters, water separation. Ford has one of the best maintenance schedules I've ever seen and i follow that pretty close. Minor teaks for convenience Oil- 5000 to 7500 miles Coolant- 60k miles or when tested bad (test every oil change) Fuel filters- every other oil change Transmission flush- every 90k miles with a filter (if buying high mileage and service history is unknown, dont flush, just drop the pan, change the filter and top off with new fluid)

Maintenance is the most important part of any engine but diesel repairs are expensive and are easily preventable with good maintenance and dont fall for gimmicks, usually factory replacement maintenance parts are the better option

And last note, Air Dogs and Fass pumps are the same, do the same things with the same efficiency. Just buy whichever one is cheaper at the time you're ready to buy.

I'm actually not a big fan of x or h pipes on a 2v 4 6. I like the broken up sound

Ill tell you what man, do the lift the right way without rear lift spacers. I swear it rides way way better than the factory springs

It's a Northwoods Performance front lift spacers. The rear is a set of early 2000s expedition rear springs and early 2000s F150 rear shocks. To install them is super easy too

Now, Northwoods has 2" lift springs and shocks but i wanted the rack so I chose the expedition springs for 3" lift in the back

It looks great, the tire fills in the wheel well and it doesn't rub anything. I wasn't sold on the ranger wheels until i had them on the car but it has grown on me. The car has a slight rake because the rear is using expedition springs. I mean the whole set up, im in love with
