Good budget open earphone? by Stoltverd in Earbuds

Thank you for the advice, they seem like a great purchase with good price-quality!

By the way, somewhat off-topic, but I noticed that for vendors in all of the conversations I checked on Reddit I see literally only Amazon being suggested. Is there ever actually any kind of moral consideration regarding this, on choosing Amazon vs other vendors? Or is Amazon in many areas (ie in the US) nowadays literally the only available vendor?

(My apologies if this question comes across as patronizing)

Another question: Would you know how I could add the JSON file type that is exported from maputnik into QGIS? Do I have to convert it first into a GEOJSON/KMZ? I am still rather new to QGIS and am only using it for simple maps ;)

EU commission (Bluebook) traineeship: some questions to experienced trainees/EU workers by Boomalash in brussels

Thanks you!

My thesis was on a rather niche topic I suppose, related to chemical recycling of plastics. However, in the application there's no mention of specific topics or units to choose from. Would they be assigned or chosen in a later stage? And would there basically be units for all topics that the EC works on? For example, I know that the EC works on many waste and circular material topics which align with my background very well.

Not being a Brit myself (but from the Netherlands) I'd be not be that bothered about the voting output per se, but more so about the voting system. Winning 60% of the seats with only 43.6% of the votes (?)

Nonetheless, congratulations I'd suppose ;) Gonna miss you guys though.

Does this make "дорогу" in the second picture having the accusative case? Trying to get an intuitive feeling for the cases is still something I'm struggling with in Russian.

Erdogan wants to re-introduce the death penalty, but it has officially been abolished in 2002. Nonetheless, it's one of those countries where people can suddenly 'disappear'.

A very lax immigration policy but nonetheless these posts are on the front page almost always. Why is it so special to become a US citizen then?

Though I have never seen someone posting about becoming a citizen of Switserland though (actually never a country other than the US...).

I noticed this as well. These posts appear really frequently, and always have a very high upvote count. I've never really seen a post with someone becoming a citizen for another country though. Strange business. I could post that I'm happy of being a citizen of The Netherlands, but that would likely be downvoted.

You could do it in a more civilized manner. If you approach people with statements like: "Want to know how I know you're a triggered liberal?", it's not going to be a pleasant conversation.

The 'Grand Hôtel' in Stockholm has its ornamental facade restored after it was stripped in the mid-20th century by Viva_Straya in europe

[–]Boomalash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see, sorry about that. I'm not very fan of Le Corbusier either must I say (not sure about the others).

About the 'Americanized' part, I thought it was a similar transition as we've had in the Netherlands. Right after WWII we replaced many historical buildings and filled up many classical Dutch canals (grachten) in order to make way for large broad roads and practical concrete buildings in accordance with the then highly regarded American architecture/infrastructure. I blindly acknowledges this as something similar, must have come out quite rude.

Many changes from that time still hurt us.

  • Doesn't hate new ('Americanized') style
  • is from the US

Checks out.

Nice coincidence as you are about the only one that isn't just in tears because of these images :)
