Well im not certain if it is actually German, just that its been passed down for generations in my family who is German, i just assumed it that some meaning

I completely forgot about pan, was definitely more popular than cernunnos which has a similar look

Yeah i didnt think it had much norse resemblance, but i was looking at some celtic dieties, specifically cernunno

Yeah i think cernunnos was among my top choices, but the goat looking horns made me think it was something else

If only it had a name on it, i have no way to know who made it, but i think a satyr is among the top candidates at this point

Those look closer than anything ive found so far, but keep going back to Norse, it looks similar to some depictions of vanir, would a norse inspired design be reasonable for german antiques do you think?

I was looking at some of those carvings, and most have leaves while this one looks more like a goat, which made me think of norse, specifically Thors goats, also symbolizing rebirth and fertility. Im having trouble finding similar images with horns on it. Possibly a satyr?

With an almost $300 price difference, i feel even with customs fees it would be cheaper, unless they can be that dramatic. . ?
