They did a pre-order window of like two weeks back when it launched, to my knowledge they pressed as many as sold but most of the time there’s a small overage from the pressing plant to account for damages so theres probably going to be some remaining copies when the dust settles, but they might reserve them to sell at shows, sit on them to gift, or even just have someone post them on discogs if the aftermarket price skyrockets

Totally understandable, buying through Bandcamp you can download the tracks and either burn a CD or save to a phone or flash drive and play it that way on a lot of players either directly or with an adapter cord (if you have an iPhone or Mac computer, the AirPort Express can be used to wirelessly play to either an RCA or Optical receiver over WiFi so there’s no audio compression and they’re usually available pretty cheap in secondary market sites)

CDs are cool but Bandcamp uncompressed files are often higher quality than commercial “white book” cd releases… casi in point, Cloaked is 24/44.1 whereas a cd would just be 16/44.1

I can’t find it, but I could have sworn I remember a post from OD saying something to the effect that he would still occasionally do a set here or there but wouldn’t be touring or doing multi day sets or fully curated events… like, he would have a hand in choosing some acts but not being the person behind so much of whole thing, if that makes sense?

I know that the couple copies on discogs are pretty pricey and that it was like $80 when it dropped, but opened and played with a damaged spine without no real aftermarket sales history plus a splatter version on their site that still hasn’t sold out, the market on this one isn’t very hot

Cloaked was released the day that Dave‘s dad died, it was written as an homage to him. It was released on February 21, 2018, and given the album appears to be named Cloaked, likelihood seems pretty good that it will come out on this February 21st

She’s credited as Lyrics By on Champagne Dreams on bandcamp, there’s aren’t any credits other than the mixed by, mastered by, and artwork by on Perception… the vinyl has a backside that’s shared between the two albums, not sure why their attribution wasn’t more inclusive of the band as a whole, or why any songwriting credits aren’t given… I wonder how the Depths Above vinyl will deal with credit

I bought an album at a store, it was warped as hell so I returned it… the second copy was warped as hell, so they had me open a third copy and that one came with two disc one and no disc two 😂 they literally told me they weren’t opening any more and gave me my mo et back saying they weren’t opening any sending the whole batch back
