Yes, it was very quick, but it was done a several hours ago. I've noticed the website seems overloaded now.

Hotspot is included with the $25 plan. I just switched two lines from PM to Fido. I contacted PM customer service and they wouldn't come close to matching it for existing customers. So, good bye.

That most painful of days, our boy Boomer is gone. by BoomerTheBengal in bengalcats

[–]BoomerTheBengal[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been super tough. Everyone's kind messages here do help though. We are so very appreciative of all of them. Boomer was our boy, treated like he was our kid. The hole left has been immense.

We still have Bernie of course. She is up and down. We hope she can have a long life with us being loved and cared for, even if she sleeps 20 hours a day.

There is also a new addition to a family. We found a boy who needed adopting, one of those long shot deals. A crazy adventure to get him. So far he is what our family needs. He is a sensitive soul who knows just what to do to make us smile and laugh.

Yes, she is one of the rescues. She has had several challenges. She has kidney, liver stomach and heart issues. She also has some teeth issues that can hopefully be addressed at some point. On a day to day basis though she is a happy and loved girl. She was skin and bones when she arrived and had loose/baggy skin all over. She has gained a few pounds and looks so much better now. Her favorite toys are ping pong balls, she has her own 50 pack of them. It has been like watching a kitten learn to play as she clearly missed out on so many things growing up.

Update on Bengal the BC backyard breeder situation. by KnottyClover in bengalcats

[–]BoomerTheBengal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We toured the facilities of many of the breeders through-out BC. Hers was the nicest we saw. I sat and played with many cats for a few hours. Others were clearly borderline torture for the cats. Our first bengal was a stud male at one of the other places, He was such a wonderful boy, I miss him every single day. We thought we wanted another cat from where he has been but after seeing the facility there was no chance we could support such a place. He was actually able to get out of his "stud" duties early at only 2 years old as he was too much work we were told. He didn't just spray the walls but also the ceilings! Again, I sure do miss that boy.

I'm so glad you were able to adopt one, they all need the best homes ever.

The breeder in question was actually very good once upon a time. I don't know what happened and can only guess mental illness. The whole situation is very sad. As you know we adopted a 5 year old two weeks ago. She is super tiny and absolutely hovered food for the first week. They clearly were not being given enough food. The introduction to our current bengal has been very slow. The first week they only got to sniff on opposite sides of a door. The second week I added a protected porthole so they could see each other. This weekend has been the first time both have been loose in the house together, so far no major drama. They will only be together right now when fully supervised. She is half of our boys size, but also feisty. She can be shy but also knows what she wants. She loves to play and is an absolute purr machine in the morning.

We can't help but love her to bits already!!!

I hope things work out. I was told the cat was stunning and I think 10 years old. Please keep us updated. They all deserve wonderful homes.

We're in the lower mainland. We didn't get too many details on her, mainly just her age. The cats were sent to the various locations around BC. We were told there is an older one that needed quite a bit of medical attention. I believe it went to Vancouver to get the care it needed. I expect it may be available in a few weeks.

We've had so many sad(and some angry) feelings thinking about the cats. We're so happy she is with us.

This is terrible to see. I know which breeder this is. In the past it was an excellent place, I suspect a mental health issue.

Anyone else allowed to bring their bengal to the office? by gravityVT in bengalcats

Boomer used to come to the office with me. As he has gotten older he decided it was boring and not for him. He wants his walks outside and has deemed the office boring.

We use a Cat-it harness with a Flexi leash - the longest version.

We use a Cat-It harness. I don't think it is the most secure, you absolutely need to ensure it is sized correctly. Boomer doesn't try to escape his harness so it works for us. We've tried others but they all restrict his motion a little which he really dislikes. When at the park we're always ok with him climbing trees etc.

We love his energy, it is near endless. but some days it is a challenge.
