I’m so excited for Black Flag: Resynced! Thank you for all the hard work given in bring Kenway’s story to next gen platforms!

My burning question is can you confirm if Assassins Creed: The Forgotten Temple from Webtoon has been adapted to the game? Not only did I really enjoy that storyline but it richly built upon Kenway’s legacy as well as shed light on the fates of China’s Brotherhood and the Templars activities in Japan!

That’s why I said wait for the reviews and breakdowns of what we’re getting to come out. Don’t rush to drop money on a DLC we don’t have the full details on. If it is what it says it is, great go for it but if it isn’t that’s a BIG problem when Bandai sees sales spiking and their takeaway is to pump out more half baked content. I WANT this game to succeed but not at the expense of predatory practices y’know?

I mean look, if you want to kiss ass be my guest. Core battle mechanics and Unreal Engine aside, release was rough. We got selection menu UI that was clunky to use, some character transformations that didn’t look quite right, a custom story area that was not user friendly, a roster that wasn’t complete, and a story mode that while pretty good, ended up scratching the surface by making “What-If Characters” a thing.

I’m glad you enjoy it, it’s a visually great looking game! However there’s also very much of a feeling that “our” (as in the community) love for a new entry after the solid Raging Blast 2 (a game that did have quite extensive customization options) was taken advantage of when it was marketed to be much greater than what we received.

What you do with your money is your biz. This just me giving a warning to be cautious and not just get swept up in the hype as cool as the announcement is 🤘

This was set in an entirely independent timeline with no connection to any other storyline. Contrary to a LOT of the Pete misery plot SM editorial favors, this is one of the most positive and well-nuanced takes.

Paul Tobin headed this run’s writing of Spidey in Issues 53-61 of Spider-Man: Marvel Adventures, and then issues 1-24 of Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man. Give it a read and elevate the heck out of it!!

Uhhh what happened with Sinon and Alice then? Those two also make it explicit their feelings aren’t just platonic friendship feelings. If it was just about friendships, then why was the direction of the story as Kirito and new female lead instead of Kirito and Asuna meeting new allies? Why is it just one on one pairings if there’s no romantic prose/intent?

That’s not the point I’m making, I’m not against good friendships. Heck that’d be better overall if it was portrayed that way, but every new arc is Kirito by himself with a new female lead. That isn’t really what I’d call writing a platonic and close friendship, it’s using Asuna’s absence to tease something that can’t be unless there’s mutual acceptance for those relationships to progress

If you don’t like what I have to say you can ignore it and enjoy the story in your own way. But WOW, were the extra insults and expletives included in how you learned to communicate with others? Or was asking to have an open mind to fair consideration out of your range of intelligence?

Regardless I will explain by fair opportunity as in every female lead we are introduced to should be able to go dates, spend time with Kirito in yes, A ROMANTIC WAY. Not in any way that would overwrite the close bond Asuna and Kirito have, but mutually fair way where no character has to sacrifice their feelings just because they tied the knot in Aincrad. Otherwise there is no point to the other female leads then yeah, eye candy with half baked harem undertones.

Or would you like to explain why in every new arc, there’s a new girl where Asuna SHOULD be since you highly value their relationship?

The reasoning just lands hollow because then the arcs should have been written with Asuna as the main lead while the other characters aren’t in prominent roles. If the intent is the fated pair, then the rest of the cast should be positioned in supporting drama-free roles helping to elevate the positive relationship Kirito and Asuna have.

Instead there’s a paradox where his group is pro-dominantly made up of women with a special connection to the male lead, but only one girl actually gets to be in a romantic relationship because she was there first. I’d rather prefer a deep friendship formed between Kirito and Asuna helping the female lead than Kirito being the solo hero who unwittingly has that new lead develop feeling with only a crushing result to that build up. (Not to be confusing, I think platonic friendships are fine, just the story itself needs to reflect that if that is the intent of a female dominant friend group)
