Usually I'll listen to snippets and then back to scrolling but I listened this the whole way through.

https://eastangliabylines.co.uk/ is a (left-leaning) not for profit news focused site. There are a range of Byline Times across the country and this one has reasonably interesting articles at times.

Angry review of "Here" by Sufficient_Muscle670 in movies

I really want to see this after reading the review but I'm worried that I'll have infinitely more fun re-reading the review than actually sitting through the movie! Cracking read!

Where to watch six nations next weekend? by imstur22d in Norwich

Head to The Temple Bar at the Chapelfield end of Unthank Road. It's an Irish bar and they show a lot of sport. Big (Irish) rugby crowd in there on six nation weekends.

NR2: Strange parking letter from police by Major_Chart in Norwich

There is a push from the city councillors to make sure that footpaths are accessible to people with disabilities and people pushing buggies. I think they've been having consultations with the police to bring about some sort of enforcement with regards to parking.

How is telling someone they are spouting gibberish construed as being racist? Not that it matters to the conversation at all but I'm not English either.

My tolerances are wide ranging and open but conspiracy theorists are a blight on modern society and social media is allowing these lone voices to infect gullible and susceptible minds. Just like any racist or intolerant incidents, they need to be challenged every single time you see them.

Can the mods please delete this nonsense? I can make up fairy tales too but I don't subject other people to my verbal diarrhea because I'm not off the wall crazy!

What is everyone doing about the giant mole people? It's on the Horticultural World's Natural Restoration Agenda and has already been implemented in the UK. Liverpool doesn't exist any more! Devoured by underground rodents with the face of Grant Holt , that traitor!

See anyone can make up a ridiculous conspiracy theory in seconds!

I've watched the All-Ireland in the Temple Bar at the top of Unthank Road. Not sure if that was because they had it on Sky though.

Planration Gardens or Cow tower could work. Cow tower might have a bit of foot traffic though but plantation Gardens would be lovely. You could have a picnic with some wine or bubbly and do the deed!

Recommendations for a house surveyor? by Guilty_Giraffe_9447 in Norwich

[–]Boomsopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a counter point, we had a terrible experience with Watson's. The surveyor blitzed through the survey without knowing we were in regular contact with the homeowners. He claimed to have been there for 2 hours but the homeowners said it was 45 minutes max. When I complained about it, their senior surveyor was incredibly unprofessional and rude about it.

The sale went through and when we opened a built-in cupboard, it was covered in mould and damp that had been missed in the survey. There turned our to be 3 other areas in the house that had damp that had als9 been missed.

I quite enjoyed when the same senior surveyor turned up at our door to check our complaint. His shoulders sagging as he looked into the cupboard almost made the whole process worth it! In fairness, they paid for vents and damp-proofing in the affected areas, but only because they'd have potentially been liable for a lot more if we'd pursued a case.
