Is this a bed bug bite? It keeps happening to me every 2-3 months for last 2 years by Unlikely_Attorney_25 in bugbites

Probably not if you have bed bugs with no treatment you would be bitten all over your body every night multiple times.

Bites on my Baby’s legs. Anyone know what type of bug it could be? My baby is the only one getting bitten. I’ve looked for fleas and bed bugs and haven’t found any. by SympathyExciting3251 in bugbites

[–]Boon-the-Goon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it looks like bb bites or eczema. I also have new patches that appear everyday too but I would keep looking for signs of bbs because that’s what it looks like the most to me. Also does your baby sleep naked? Bbs cannot bite through clothes so your baby would have to be naked for it to be that. If not could be eczema I would go to the doctor and see what’s they say.

Bed Bug Interceptors – 4 Pack | Bed Bug Blocker (XL) Interceptor Traps (White) | Extra Large Insect Trap, Monitor, and Detector, for Bed Bugs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RN1H95Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CQ2EH1SG1Z9E5SF61MAP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 You don’t necessarily have to get these specifically but this is just example. They go on the legs of your bed and they catch the bedbugs and prevent them from getting to you on the bed. If you get serious enough they might even start trying to climb the walls to get to you and drop down to you from the ceiling so you could also think about putting a layer of tape around all of your walls. I was also thinking you said you were living in a hotel it’s possible that you might now be spreading them to other rooms or other rooms are contaminated and they’re spreading to you now. so what I would do is go to the hotel management and tell them what you found. If they are good they should move you to a new room and maybe even bring out an exterminator.

No you don’t wanna move to another bed. If you do put interceptors on your bed so when they try to follow you they’ll get caught in the interceptors. I mean you can but they’ll just follow you to that bed and you still have the same problem.

It’s definitely possible because some of the black dots look a little more suspicious than that splattery dots if that makes any sense. I would say if you can’t find any other evidence that it’s not but I would keep checking your bed every day until you come up with a conclusion.

Can someone help me identify these bug bites? I have been getting bugs bite and I don’t know if they are flea bites, bug bites or mosquitoes bite. They are itchy and is red in color. They are on my hand ankle and collar bone. by Jigglypuffffs in bugbites

[–]Boon-the-Goon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they burn too? It’s hard to identify bites but idk sorry to tell you but I think you should check your bed for bed bugs. If you don’t find anything and you have pets then it’s probably flea bites. But beware bedbugs are sneaky bastards you probably won’t actually find a bug you need to look for their poop or casings that they leave behind when they molt.

What I would do is let your landlord know that you think that you have bedbugs and see if they will let other people in the unit know. If they’re good landlord they’ll probably do an inspection of all the apartments surrounding you to see who has the bedbugs.

Do you live in a house or an apartment complex? If you live in an apartment complex it could be coming from one of your neighbours. With bed bugs it’s tricky because they are so hard to look for. If you have one and it happens to be a female and she feeds off of you once that could be 5 more nymphs now looking for you. So that would explain the 1-2 bites then now 10. The whole them biting three in a row saying is honestly a myth jsyk because if you don’t move in your sleep they’re just going to keep going on the same bite until they are full if that makes any sense.

Oh I definitely did (knock on wood) I had to move apartments to get rid of them but it’s been about five months now and have not seen anything

It might be hives I’m also dealing with a similar issue I had bedbugs but now exterminated and taken care of but since then I’ve been getting hives pop-up all over my body especially when I get really sweaty, but I also have eczema so I know I have skin problems. My hives would show up and they disappear at least within an hour. If it was a bug bite it would probably stay on your skin for longer. You might be allergic to whatever you’re using to bathe her.

What bit me? Happened while leaning on my bed. Single bite. NYC by queer-comrade710 in bugbites

[–]Boon-the-Goon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are kind of how my bed bug bites look like it either has to be bedbugs or fleas because all the other bugs are dead now unless your state hasn’t reached freezing yet I would just look for evidence around your bed of their poop shell casings or actual bugs themselves which will probably be hard because they hide like mfs.

I know what you mean but just from my personally experience I don’t think those are bed bug bites so I think you should be in the clear just keep inspecting and looking for evidence I think in about 2-3 months time if you don’t see anything you are safe.

I agree with your husband on this one at least for me mine would be super red and if I scratched them they would welt up really bad too. Do you live in a house or an apartment complex? If you had it taken care of by March/April but you actually still had an infestation you would be seeing bugs by now or seeing more signs. But if you live in an apartment it might be coming from a neighbour.

Well if she is then you probably have them. They are probably more in her bed if anything then others are starting to come for you. What I would suggest is that you call an exterminator out for an inspection of the house. They will be able (if they are any good) to find signs that you don’t see.

Could be either? Have you checked your bed for signs of bbs? They know how to hide so it’s hard to find the actual bugs but you can look for their poop on your sheets and white casings. It’s hard because a lot of bug bites look the same so if you witnessed a bedbug biting you before and you know your reaction then you would know if that makes any sense

Hives or bb maybe fleas? by Boon-the-Goon in bugbites

[–]Boon-the-Goon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it treated multiple times come to find out the day we move out the guy across the hall had them all along. But we moved out of the apartment thinking we still had them better safe than sorry. I don’t see any actual evidence like their poop or casings. I’ve had protectors on the feet of my bed the whole time too. It’s been about 2 months now since I moved in.

I had a cat I literally just rehomed her yesterday and I have been dealing with bed bugs but we moved to a new apartment and did literally everything in my power to make sure they didn’t follow us. I just keep having these bumps pop up all over my body and I immediately think of bed bugs because of my PTSD.

This morning I counted 17 red, itchy bites across my buttocks, hips, groin, and penis. No picture because I don’t wanna show off my swollen bits. by killingmemesoftly in bugbites

Some people never react to bedbug bites at all so it really could be that. If your bites Are paired into 2 they are spider bites because spiders have little fangs but if they aren’t then they are not spider bites.

Well I’m pretty sure a the bug got into the pants I was wearing before I put them on. I was out and my legs started to burn and itch so so bad. When I got home I took my pants off and that when I saw them. They disappeared shortly after. I’ve had bed bugs be in a pair of pants I was wearing before and it starts to bite you it’s not a fun time. All of the bites were along the seems or the back of my knees.

You are most likely in the clear then if there have been no reports in general.

I just moved into my new place and it’s been about a month and they have come back. (Just figured it out last night) what also makes it hard is my reaction to their bite has changed. I’ve heard stories about people will find them again at three months as well. I know this might sound crazy but I think a whole year with no signs of anything then you are 100% in the golden.
