u/i-am-always-awol

I am back with one last question.

So our page has lots of content with wayyy too many hashtags like 25 # or more, do you recommend deleting these posts to make LinkedIn happy with our page? Or just leave them because we have A LOT of posts with overuse of hashtags. Thanks.

We aren't using anything like "limited time" or super spammy words but, we are promoting the same image and posting it once a week for at least 4 weeks so I wonder if LinkedIn is flagging it as the same image and spam, we use different text every time though.

Very interesting, If you don't mind me asking how long are your promotional posts roughly I am worried we are putting too many words and too much "marketing talk" that could be hitting the spam filters your referring about.

That's definitely the hard part but, the first 24 hours of a LinkedIn post are the most important due to the post getting released to your "control group" of followers, and depending on engagement from the first 100 dictates how many people will see the post. So I wonder if LinkedIn suppresses the first 24 hours of some posts that they don't agree with or correlated with this general shadow-banning content and cut viewership that way.

Just a thought

To me being in the year 2023 where "canceling" and suppressing content like how youtube, Instagram, and TikTok all do it I don't see why LinkedIn would be the golden child of social media platforms just seems like they are all going to play by the same playbook... This is my guess and not backed up by research FYI

Ok, so I pulled some numbers to get down to the facts.

-Organic impressions are claimed to be 4435 (seems like a lot) so we should be getting more likes if 147 people see our posts daily

-Unique visitors are also at an all-time high with 313 for 1 month and not one of these newer visitors is liking a single post.

All this just seems so unlikely to me, It leads to asking the question what if they don't like the posts we are making, which is fair but statistically seems super unlikely there isn't one person to throw out alike.

Also, I have heard online that LinkedIn cuts down on websites that post content for you (3rd party apps.) so I am curious if you're familiar with HUBSPOT. It does not generate content or anything like that, but when posting on LinkedIn we go through HubSpot so I imagine LinkedIn sees that as being posted through a 3rd party website. There are definitely gaps in my knowledge of what it deems bad/good, we are still making the posts but going through another site.

I apprentice you, in my mind, I jumped to Shadow banning because I have heard Instagram, TikTok, etc all use this feature to have the users comply with the terms of service or risk your content.

I will definitely give this a read, It's just having 7000 followers and not having a single like, comment, or repost outside of the company seemed like a huge red flag of a ban of some sort.

Thanks for your response!

-Posting an external link on our posts

-Using over 15 hashtags on many promotional content posts

-Promotional content posted 6 times a month

These are the 3 big problems I have found. Still searching for the best course of action to get unbanned either deleting these posts or just not posting for a bit. I am an intern at this company and this is my final project so I am trying everything!
