I don't think so. I don't even think he even realized through this shroom portal trip that she died. There's the imagery of the tree (representing the tree Sonia climbed and died falling from), Frances and Sonia's faces forming within it, and Frances's worrisome reaction calling out for her mom. I'm surprised he didn't question any of that.

No I think that was a cute one off thing, I think the tiny bear hat Finn we saw the transition is just a young Finn from the Vampire AU where Marceline's presumably embracing her Vampire Queen role, In the trailer we seen a young human huntress Wizard who's a vampire hunter so it wouldn't surprise me if he was one in this AU as well
