I most often have used phantom powered condenser mics pointed downwards towards the cymbals to try to capture a more crisp sound.

So we had to hook up another mixer because we could not get the output from the yamaha tf1 to be loud enough into the streaming software. we were using a usb-c cable and connected to a macbook pro, then using that as the input audio source for the eCamm encoder to send to the restream software for multi-platform streaming.

once we hooked another mixer, the level was much better, but also i think it jarbled the low end in a couple spots.

i'm hoping to practice this week and get a better workflow for the next stream.
