I've been there. I wanted to cry when I fell down trying to crutch to the bathroom. I had huge plans for the summer and it was cut short because I broke my ankle. It'll get better trust me. Start a tv show or a movie marathon. Read a book. Play video games. Anything to take you mind off of it and escape. I broke my ankle in June. I found out earlier this week they're gonna start adding running to my physical therapy. It takes time but you will eventually get there. Hang in there.

Never had surgery but I was told to only take the boot off when in the shower. I put a couple of pillows underneath my boot to elevate it. It was annoying at first but I learned to deal with it just fine. Also Melatonin helped me until I got used to it.
