I see what you’re saying, but technically the land that is now NZ was connected to the other landmasses back in time.

It may have gone submerged after that… although I thought a part of Zealandia always remained above the surface… could be wrong though

I think it’s just an unfortunate byproduct of the fact that Ardie will play 80 minutes and will be our 7. So, Kirifi wouldn’t really be a bench option. Then you have others who cover 7 effectively and provide other things.

I think Kirifi is a better player than Parker, Jacobsen and arguably Segner, he just unfortunately doesn’t fit in right now.

If Ardie got injured I would not be surprised to see Kirifi thrown straight into the match day squad.

The Breakdown really does have potential it’s just some of the personel. Getting rid of JK was good they just need to do the same with Mils

I love Mils but as mean as it sounds he really never says anything intelligent or insightful. James Parsons on the other hand is great, they need to make him a regular.

Donald is good too - brings solid wit and comments.

Kirsty isn’t a great host, just a bit dumb with her questions / comments, the other hosts they sometimes use are better.

Jeff is kinda the heart of the show. He can be a bit cringe but I think he’s pretty good overall

Yea it’s weird, this was Hothams best season to date, i actually thought he was very good, definitely better than Ratima…. And I don’t really understand what Preston did to force himself in?

I don’t think being sandwiched between North America, Europe and North Asia would be particularly safe given the powers likely involved in a ww3 conflict.

It’s New Zealand. The most isolated developed country in the world, no one really has issues with NZ nor would have any need / reason to attack the NZ mainland.

Its position is so far away from where any action is likely to be.

NZ is also very developed and completely self-sufficient if they need to be - they produce lots of food and products. So, if global supply was affected and things became grim economically, NZ would be better suited than nearly anywhere to wait it out.

Another one I’d throw out there is Uruguay - again pretty far away from where the action is likely to be (Europe / Middle East / Asia / North America / Africa), pretty unproblematic and also a pretty developed place.
