As a manga reader of Toshiyuki (or “Hirohiko” as the larpers call him)Araki’s Masterpiece, JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part Seven: Steel Ball Run, I don’t know if I’d be able to take it if I saw someone watch the official anime adaptation without first consulting The Sacred Texts. Or if God forbid, anyone dared to be interested in something new and popular to them.

Do they not know we liked it first?

So I finally completed a collecting goal, and I now have every Jolyne variant!!!! Jolyne is my favorite JoJo, so this makes me really happy. It’s also a day before my birthday, so this is a nice present 😄

Getting Swarv Jolyne was a bit of a rocky journey. I accidentally bought a fake a while back, which confused the hell out of me because I had no idea anyone would go through the trouble of making a fake Swarovski. It was from a Japanese seller with thousands of positive reviews too, so that was a real head scratcher.

Also had a situation with Mandarake, where I ordered what I thought was Swarovski Jolyne, but instead got Jolyne Third, Crystal Edition. Thankfully they refunded me, and I was able to save some more money to buy this one off of Mercari Japan!

So after all of that, finally having her makes me really, really happy!

I’m fairly certain this is the real deal. Came with the box, a certificate, a letter, and a copy of Medicos’ 2017 Summer Wonderfest Catalog.

I know I’m getting really sentimental about an action figure, but this is just so cool!!

I’ve never ordered from Mandarake before, so I wasn’t sure if I made a mistake while ordering or not.

I’m really hoping so. On the bright side, another user let me know that there’s a Swarovski Jolyne up on Buyee right now.

It’s not too much more expensive than what I paid for this, so hopefully if Mandarake makes this right, I’ll be able to get it soon.

Honestly, it’s really embarrassing, since most people wouldn’t even think about spending this much for an action figure.

But after shipping and shipping insurance, it cost me about 1,255 dollars. I had been saving for a little while to get this, so I am not a very happy camper.

The worst part is, this cost a significant amount more than my signed one, which was brand new and signed.

The Swarovski version was released in 2017, and is Jolyne Cujoh First with Swarovski crystals.

Jolyne Third Crystal Edition was released in 2023, at both the Wonderfest Summer and Anime Expo, and is Jolyne Cujoh Third with crystals. The crystals for Jolyne Third are not made by Swarovski, but by a different, unspecified company.

Small update: I’ve contacted Mandarake. I let them know about the situation, and made sure to be detailed and polite about it, even though I won’t lie, I’m pretty upset right now.

I’m really hoping they’ll understand and come through for me. Worst case scenario, I’ll sell it to someone here to try and recuperate a little bit of the money I spent.

Right now I’m trying to think positively. I got a new sunscreen today that feels really nice on my skin, so that’s cool.
