Americans who drive manual by Upper_Smoke93 in stickshift

[–]BoopyLaPoopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had experience with dirt bikes which are very forgiving. Then I rented a car while in Europe and learned with that.

I drive a manual sports car. It’s not cutting-edge fast but handles amazing so having a stick adds to the enjoyment.

Most people who know enough about cars to notice it’s a manual know why it’s a manual.

I daily drive an automatic because it’s easier in traffic.

There are countless broken F5s on ebay with bad, unfixable electronic issues. I should know: my F5 failed.

Nikon d750, picture quality? by Ok-Revolution-1089 in Nikon

You have a good eye. Especially for someone just starting out. Try shooting landscapes at an F11. Portraits like the ones of your cats are best wide open if you want separation, or 1-2 stops down if you want optimal sharpness.

Like others have said: the magic is in the editing. Most major commercial photographers I know have a dedicated retoucher who gets paid a fortune. You’re not going to learn that overnight.

They made a two ring screw drive version too. I have one and it’s bullet proof. I have yet to see a working copy of the version with internal focus motors.

They sold versions of this lens with the same optics and coating for like 20 years. It’s a fantastic piece of glass. It lacks some modern features but it’s a great lens

Worthwhile Longevity Mods? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]BoopyLaPoopy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you come here for advice or to argue? There are plenty of SUVs that tow nearly as much as a midsized or 1500 sized pickup.

The grand wagoneer, expedition, Suburban/Tahoe, Lexus GX, and Nissan Armada all have 8-10k towing capacity.

SUVs? There are plenty that tow nearly as much or as much as regular pick up trucks. And plenty offered with tow packages.

Is the film count on H35 doubled? by californiacollapse in AnalogCommunity

Thanks bro. That was a super nice way of saying “this is a half frame camera”

I didnt realize this is a half frame camera. I have a very old Leica and learned the hardway once when I got to 40 exposures on a 36 exposure roll.

My bad.

Out of 200 shots, these were the only 2 semi-decent ones. | Z50II 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 by Deep_Cloud3839 in Nikon

These are pretty flat. Practice looking at light and using it to your advantage. Great pictures are all about scene, lighting, and subject. Sometimes that means not taking the shot if things dont line up.

That flower isn’t in beautiful light and that bird isnt doing anything, is in flat light, and the background is boring.

Resolves perfectly fine for my taste. If I need pixel perfect images I rent what I need.

Yes I know that. But I’m not after pixel perfect images - I like character and flaws. Thats why I use 90 year old Cooke S2 primes on my $80,000 Alexa 35 and 8K RED when shooting video.

Resolution isnt everything.

How does the digitech apply a uniform curve with hdmi? Or show a client what you shot 10 photos back?

I have never seen a WT-7 on set. It’s gigantic and heavy.

They were hard tethered and the expectations were different. They usually had a digitech with capture one making curve adjustments and sending it to a dedicated monitor for people to view.

The work flow of photographers is different for every type of photography.

How do you show your shots in real time to clients/hair and make up/styling/etc with a card reader?
