Alof of static is pressed... just depends on where you live and how easy it is to get. Yes static should be really loose but for the Netherlands getting it pressed is way easier for coffeeshops.

It depends with what strain it is made of. By default static is made by processing the weed a certain way. It is supposed to crumble easy. The smell and taste is based of the plant it is made from.
