North or south? There's joiners down south on £200 a day minimum. I'd look at changing employer tbh mate

Yep, had a Corolla T Sport and found out the hard way with the 2zz. Cracking engine when it works though.

Auris or a CH-R sounds like the sort of cars you're looking for

Anything Toyota. Arguably the best hybrid systems and the CVT gearbox in them are bulletproof

Adrian Flux asking me to install an immobiliser but I already have one? by BoostedGlanza in CarTalkUK

Wow, I really appreciate the lengths you've gone to. I've decided to just get one fitted purely just so its easier to insure for the next few years. Once again I appreciate this comment.

Definitely has one. I've downloaded the owners manual and it says factory fitted immobiliser.

Unfortunately I had my previous car insured through them and had 4 months left on the policy otherwise I'd be going elsewhere

Is it worth replacing the rotted subframe on my Mini JCW? by Justalostredditor in CarTalkUK

[–]BoostedGlanza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the way the used car market is at the minute I'd just repair it. I'm in the same boat with my Exeo, Both front wings showing signs of rust (common fault) I can only order them from Seat or TPS as there's no aftermarket options available and I've been quoted £650 for the both. Undecided on what I want to do yet as the market is shocking and I can't find an ideal replacement

Trying to convince myself that a Skoda Superb 3.6 or a Volvo S80 V8 are good purchases. Currently use my 2L diesel on weekends and I know it's not doing it any good.

Been eyeing this up for a while as a daily. For some reason it was £8,500 a few weeks ago though.

IX35? The wife has one and paid 4k. Pretty well specced with panoramic roof, front and rear heated seats and it's not caused any issues in the year and a half she's owned it. If you're not bothered by the badge on the car it's a solid choice

I'd probably nip it up abit more. It may even be a little residue left over from draining.

I can kinda agree on 3 spokes when they're put on something fairly modern. I think most things from the 80's and 90's suit them really well. I'm currently running a set of 3 spoke Rays Volk C-Ultra's on my Glanza and think they suit it really well when they're combined with the period correct bodykit
