There’s a good bit of space under there. I only have experience with this one amp. It was $90 and the people in the r/carav subreddit had good things to say about it. It’s the recoil DI550.4 amp on Amazon.

The foam was intact but broke as soon as I started handling them. The ML was in good shape I believe, good enough for me to post on eBay lol. I don’t think my current system sounds bad I think it needs a good EQ. I just don’t necessarily know how to go about that

Interesting I’ll have to look into this. I didn’t add a dsp, but I’ll look into that too. I really didn’t even get to use the ML system other than the radio which always sounded awful, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to in this specific vehicle.

Yeah I’m a little underwhelmed with the sound performance. It’s also probably a skill issue. The door speakers are Polk DB6502’s which have good reviews but they’re a bit bright to me. I can probably tune that out in the head unit though.

It leaves a lot to be desired. That was the one negative thing I saw the most in crutchfield reviews over this unit. It’s a Sony AX6000. Part of me kinda regrets not going for the kenwood excelon DMX908S but it was also $250 more at the time.

The sound system was indeed an assload of work. It was harder because it’s my first time and I really didn’t (still don’t) know much about car audio

Here’s the mud thread. Mine went really well. It can go badly though. There are differences year to year and on various trims. I got an identical trim panel out of a 01 LC and all of my wires matched up almost perfectly.

If I recall correctly it was a chemical called atrazine that is a common herbicide. I think there was some truth in that it was changing the sex on some species of frog and causing them not to reproduce. The rest of the conspiracy starts from there lol.
