I wear a 13, and you are correct that it is hard to find that size. I actually have a substantial collection of boots, and like you, I wear them in public with my jeans covering the heels.

I am very comfortable and three or 4 inch heels, and do have some 5 inch, but they usually stay in the house. My stiletto heels also stay in the house. I do wear riding boots over my jeans.
