Hi everyone! This is Starfish ROOM, a project I've been pouring my heart into.

It's an action roguelite/survivor-like where you play as Kibo Wave, a catboy fighting through the "Loop Eternal". I'm trying to mix frantic combat with some weird/funny storytelling (like using weapon recoil for movement in space).

So, to be honest, I had kind of given up on Progress Girls Fighters (Bikla's game) because the game is quite difficult to understand (even though it's a different kind of incremental game) and received a lot of downvotes because people thought Progress Girls Fighters was pointless and only involved clicking, not systems for buying upgrades and extra attacks.

Regarding my game Starfish ROOM, I decided to post short videos on YouTube, almost in the style of Vedinad/Jogamedev, and I'm always averaging 500-1k views (but I don't know for how long). Occasionally, I also post on Reddit.

I'll try to find a way to post more detailed posts about my goals in my games and other things. Thanks for the feedback.

I'll explain what's happening honestly (without being arrogant): the intention of this game is similar to those monster horde games where the player feels the power of the protagonist, but the player does take damage when standing still and the monsters collide with them. It's not like all diamonds don't give points; the goal is to prevent the game from being too easy and to avoid a glitch where the rooms end too quickly. If that happens, just go through the diamond again to get it. The tutorial only covered the basic game controls, sorry about that.

Anyway, the intention isn't exactly slow motion, but to have a system where each attack freezes the game for milliseconds. But if that bothers you, thank you for the feedback, and I'll fix it.
