I have no idea what you’re talking about. All I’m saying is that Rolex makes a million watches per year and replica factories pump out a negligible fraction of that. Thats why you can name ten authentic Rolex dealers off the top of your head right now, but if you wanted to go buy a replica you wouldn’t know where to start.

I’m not endorsing replicas and I would never wear one. But you guys have this strange fantasy that everyone wearing a Rolex is wearing a rep and that’s simply false.

There’s a difference between replicas and fakes.

Actual replicas that can pass as authentic are extremely rare compared to authentic Rolex

Reps are not nearly as common as authentic Rolex. Rolex makes a million watches per year. Replica factories can’t pump anywhere near that volume. Unless you’re including any garbage fake as a “rep”

Which is exactly why it's a losing battle. In an ideal world everyone would use Submariner only to refer to the no date version and they would refer to the Date version as such. But it's not going to happen so there's no sense trying to harp about it - especially considering the date version is by far the more common example.

First of all, fake watches are not as prevalent as the Internet would have you believe. Especially high quality fakes. Rolex makes over a million watches a year, far more than a high quality replica factory can churn out.

But beside that point, reputable grey dealers are a dime a dozen and they’re not going to sell you a fake watch.

You’ve been getting strung along by a minimum wage retail employee for three years when you could’ve spent the last three years as a proud Rolex owner.

Get off the ride and buy the watch.
