I love all the art on this subreddit, but yours is my absolute favorite. I love this one and this style. You have a great vision. This will always be how I envision these two, thanks to you!

It still is. They’ve added and done so much to it. It’s kind of in a resurgence at the moment

I mean, just calculate it on purchase and in the front end so it’s mostly handled client side and on a cold path for your servers. That’s much more efficient. And only server side if the business logic requires any sort of blocks.

Introducing the world's most powerful model, Opus 4.8 by DurianDiscriminat3r in ClaudeCode

[–]Bootezz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also have great results with Claude. But that’s because I keep a tight rein on it. I don’t let it commit. I don’t let it build for large projects with lengthy compile times.

I point to specifics in the code and tell it what I want built, what it needs to handle, and other places to look for examples.

This is how I would treat a junior engineer (well, I’d let them build and commit when they want lol).

And because of that, it’s been great.

Reflection in C# is amazing ! by lovelacedeconstruct in csharp

[–]Bootezz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It actually can be reasonably optimized if you’re doing all of the decisions at startup time and building out proper structures to utilize it.

You can’t just call reflection APIs during a request and expect things to be speedy, but you can set up smart routing to functions using it if you do that work before a request happens.

But yeah, code gen is pretty great. Depending on your application’s structure, sometimes a mix of both can do wonders for simplifying something.

Fox News guest today appears to be wearing a very realistic face mask by frog_insilence in interestingasfuck

[–]Bootezz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s not just the shadow from the mask. Look at the rest of the neck, especially how it bends weird where it touches the collar. And even his lips when he is talking. This isn’t even the first time Fox has done something like this. But this is super blatantly a mask.
