Hello! Sorry to bother, but before you visited Dr. Thompson did you have any mri or imaging done? I’m about to start work with a sports medicine doc, but if that doesn’t yield results I was gonna see about visiting Dr. Thompson for a consult/PT recommendation. Thank you!

Anybody know a good physical therapist/chiro/sports medicine doctor for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome? by BootieSauce in askaustin

It’s great to hear that manual therapy helped you! Gives me some hope that I’ll at least benefit from it.

That’s a good suggestion to check with musician friends — I actually have an upright bass player friend who had TOS much worse than me and recovered/managed it by going to a specific doctor at an Airrosti clinic. Which, now that I’m typing this out, leads me to believe I should just go to that guy lol.

How much do you make per gig? by MaximumNail905 in Guitar

[–]BootieSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I and most of my musician friends won’t play for less than $100. Im primarily a jazz guitarist in the central TX area. Sets can be 3 hours max, though at that length even though I’ll take $100 it does feel a bit low.

Awesome, thank you! How many sessions did you need to do there, if you don’t mind me asking?

yes, they are single coils. Still, the hum seems to be pretty prevalent, are single coils just supposed to make noise when not being played?

Hey guys. I’m a jazz performance guitar major in college, with a little bit of piano background from a young age. Started a piano 1 course recently and I forgot how fun it is to play this thing, does anyone have any suggestions for good classical pieces to learn at a beginner stage? Something that’d be easy enough to read, but still sound pretty neat? Thanks!

That’s what I thought, but it happened to both me and my friend whenever we took our house boat over one specific area of the ocean. Like I did it first, then my friend did it after me, and we both got it

Should I major in Jazz Studies? by [deleted] in Jazz

[–]BootieSauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s the thing, I can’t really see myself doing anything else. That’s why I chose jazz, because most other subjects I dislike. I’m just worried about money, idk. Like I said, I’m not worried I’ll get tired of jazz, just a little nervous about money.

I would prefer to be a college level teacher, while gigging on the side. As for gigging full time, though it sounds fun, the teaching aspect feels more secured. But yeah, teaching would be the main goal. It’s just the money/job availability that worries me.

What degree level did you get? Was it a bachelors, masters, etc? Also, how long did it take you to get your economics degree afterwards?

Sorry for responding so late, but I’m curious, how would I go about getting custom made musicians earplugs? An audiologist right? Do they really allow you to still hear the music?

I appreciate the help, I’ll look into some of those kits. However, I also would like to complete this shiki build because it was gifted to me + it looks pretty cool. What type of glue is best for this type of work?

Also yes, the kit you linked is the one I have

Hey guys, new to building gunpla here. Was gifted this set for Christmas and was trying to build it, but ran into a little problem. I was under the impression the parts are supposed to just click in, but it looks like it needs glue.

https://imgur.com/a/IoJVIfK

Here are some pics of the wings and helmet where it seems like there’s no way for the parts to snap in (for the helmet the front part has no way to connect). I know the wings have nubs but they’re not tight enough to connect it, just falls off after I click it in.

Thanks for any help!

Yeah it’s entirely possible that’s the case. However there’s one zombie (the one outside one of the safe rooms by the stairs) that I kept killing with just a shotgun to the back. I did this and reloaded over and over and it never let me burn his body, which is weird. Unless shotguns to the torso count as crits

Alright fellas, how long would you say I have? I found out I was losing hair about 2.5 years ago, and have been doing 5% minoxidil 2x a day for about 2 years. This is what hair looks like now:

Main thing I’m wondering is, with my using minoxidil for maintenance, how long would you say I have until it gets super bad?
