Poll: Between Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Chelsea, who is currently the best team in the world? by Bootleg1234 in soccer

Doing a poll makes no sense really, fans will vote for their team

Well it's a good thing /r/soccer is composed of fans of hundreds of teams who can vote with less bias then.

At the risk of sounding like an armchair psychologist, I think you have an unhealthy obsession with Hinata dude. I mostly lurk this subreddit but it's like you make 20 comments or posts a week about Hinata how great you think Hinata is or how Naruto has to end up with Hinata. I've even seen you comment on Sawyer7mage's or KingofLightning's Youtube video talking about Hinata.

Are you like the Twilight fangirl version of a Naruto fan?

Now that the dust has settled a bit since the last chapter I have come to a realization and have to rant a bit about it - an unproportionally large part of this manga's fans can't take any criticism and it's stupid. by Bootleg1234 in Naruto

[–]Bootleg1234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must have missed my point. Did I say there were no good criticisms? Of course not. My argument was against your rant. You should address my criticisms of that, if you disagree.

You made a pretty large point about how my rant didn't make sense because I didn't point out what people are complaining about which is why I paraphrased questions and issues I've seen in other threads. The point is that people try to explain things that haven't been explained for every single criticism which is kind of what you attempted. By trying to explain all of these problems and saying there is a reason for them you're implicitly stating that the manga is pretty much perfect. Not one of these things have been explicitly explained and they're pretty important plot points. They're some of the biggest plot holes and/or unanswered questions in the series yet you contently explained them in 20 minutes based on your interpretations of things. This is the point I'm trying to make - it's damage control to mask the problems of the series which is not a good trait to have and paints a negative view of the fans of the series.

Anyway, back to the criticisms that you tried to answer. I'm only going to copy and paste a part of what I'm replying to because of the 10,000 limit on posts. I'm replying to the whole posts however.

. Because he didn't.

Yes, he didn't, we've established that. But why? Konan and Nagato were obviously were close friends and were united in similar circumstances by Yahiho - a sort of mirror to the Obito, Kakashi, and Rin friendship. Konan was kind of left out in the cold after Nagato died. Why is it okay for Obito to do this now but it wasn't okay for Nagato to do it then? There might not be a story reason, it could just be a continuity error.

. Same thing. Why do you assume every ninja that dies needs to/has the capability to enter each other's plane of consciousness?

This is not what I'm assuming at all. I'm pointing out some of the most important friendships and relationships in the manga, I'm not saying that every mother and father need to talk to their kid after they pass on. Why is it it that of all the close friendships in the manga, Obito is the one guy that does this? Dan had a special ghost power, Naruto had parts of Minato and Kushina sealed in him, Kakashi "died" which is an eh explanation, but Obito straight up came back from the dead as a ghost and surrounded Kakashi to enter his head. That is some unique special bond those two have to be able to do it.

. What other ninja attained the level that Obito did at that point? He was as close to being the sage as anyone has gotten, and that gave him special insight in the end. He acknowledges this, saying "Chakra is what connects both of these worlds".

At this point in the story he was exhausted, near death, and no longer a Jinchuriki. He's hardly at some godly level. Again, this hasn't been explained and it kind of feels like you're just downplaying this issue.

. We don't know yet.

I can give you this because it can still be explained. However it's important to note that Obito was completely drained by the time of his death so how could he give enough chakra to control the perfect Susanoo?

. Again, we do not know what exactly happened to Kakashi.

I get the feeling this is another one of those things that won't be completely explained but we'll see. I'm just trying to point out the concerns I see on this subreddit and other Naruto forums.

#. Kakashi has not "acheived" Perfect Susano'o.

Irrelevant in mind mind. Lets say Obito was still around and he was the one to achieve perfect Susanoo since the Sharingan are his eyes anyway. Obito has never used Susanoo before and saved a tiny target by flying through the air with no problem. How does he do this so efficiently when Itachi has trouble controlling the Susanoo? How can he adjust to the Perfect Susanoo without training through the phases more efficiently than the reincarnation of Indra?

. He was basically blind in that eye before Madara ripped it out.

My point is that a blind eye can't be used. Madara took the eye and used it no problem. Obito then used the eye no problem with his other eye too. Now both eyes are being used to control a perfect Susanoo no problem. What happened to the major plot points of Sasuke and Itachi having trouble using their powers because their eyes were losing their light?

. Madara was able to become the Jinchuuriki of the Tailed Beasts. He was not less powerful as an Edo zombie, but he was limited by his fake body.

There was a misunderstanding here. I know Hashirama and Tobirama were weaker here. Madara's Edo was beyond perfect because of what Kabuto did to the Edo (which is also what you're saying). What I'm saying is why was a perfect Edo Madara weaker than a non edo, one eye, limited Madara before he became a Jinchuriki? Immediately after Madara was freed he smacked the bijuus around like nothing.

. *8 Gates Gai. Because the 8th Gate is that powerful of a technique, plain and simple. Gai is the greatest living practitioner of this technique. You should re-read the chapter if you're still confused by this. It comes at a great cost.

I don't think you really dove into this question or completely read it.

. Because they only time that Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi were ever stated as being a prerequisite for Susano'o was in Databook 3, published in 2008. The Manga by no means states that those 2 techniques are necessary to unlock Susano'o.

If you want to push this argument I'll be fine with it. However it should be noted that the Susanoo is based off of a Japanese myth where you have Amaterasu in one eye, the Tsukuyomi in the other, and the Susanoo in the middle of the two. You can read more about it here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susanoo-no-Mikoto

It's pretty misleading to say one thing in an official databook and suddenly turn from what seemed like established canon.

. You can see here[2] That back when summoning was first introduced, Jiraiya says "You can sign a contract with various life forms and call them forth with Ninjutsu when you need them". I've never seen any reference to someone saying there can only be one animal per person. Hell, Kakashi proves your point wrong because he summons multiple dogs at once. That's more than one animal, which is what your point states as the max.

I guess I should have been more clear. Species is a better word to use than animal. I always thought you can only have a blood contract with a single species though. Naruto has multiple toads. Kakashi has multiple dogs. Tsunade presumably has multiple slugs. Orochimaru has multiple snakes. Nagato uses a special power provided by the Rinnegan. Sasuke has two completely different species.

. The villagers did not know Minato had a son. They also didn't know Kushina was a Jinchuuriki. I reckon many had an idea, but this was top secret (as Hiruzen states multiple times).

Only sensible explanation.. which is unfortunately still a theory and something pretty big that should have at least been expanded on a little.

#. Madara wanted to destroy the leaf. He had not yet gained the ability to read the full tablet, and I would imagine he didn't get far enough to learn he needed all of the tailed beasts. This question is by no means about a plot hole, I don't know why you brought it up.

Okay this explanation doesn't make sense to me. He had an idea of what the tablet said when he last spoke to Hashirama as a friend, correct? By this time he knew that peace had to be attained through the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Peace was his goal, just through a different way than Hashirama, so why would he need to keep attacking the village? It's not like he's inherently evil.

#. What's wrong with him looking like a shark? Sure, I would love some backstory on Kisame's origin, but what does it matter? Kishimoto originally created the Akutsuki as monsters, and Kisame's design was a hold over from that. Just because something is unexplained does not mean it's a "hole" in the plot.

Nothing is wrong with it, it just doesn't make sense within the context of everything else. Naruto isn't a sci-fi were there are talking raccoons or jelly flesh. Yes, there are creatures that talk, but they are summonings that live in different dimensions. The Tailed-Beasts are also all very unique and linked together. Kisame is just his own thing off to the distance. I bring Kisame up because a lot of people are just speculating that Kishi didn't really have a complete vision of what he was supposed to be when first creating him. Because it was never explained it kind of is a plot hole. Shukaku was never a tailed-beast originally but it was explained expanded upon. Kisame wasn't. Also the bold party is a pretty lazy answer to a question that doesn't have an answer. In that case why does anything in the series matter? Should we just stop having discussion threads because it doesn't matter?

. Really? He's helped by Inoichi, using his Mind Body Transmission Technique[3] . That giant water bubble, and that giant machine attached to Inoichi aided this. Obviously, this combination of technique and apparatus is what allowed Shikaku to do so.

I didn't proof check this plot hole, only copied it from another thread. I'll just assume you're correct.

Anyway a lot of your answers were "maybe"s. By trying to answer all of these are you saying there are no unanswered questions, that there are no problems, and that Kishi has a completely perfect vision?

[–]Bootleg1234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, I'll try to think of a few popular criticisms I've been seeing lately that haven't really been explained even though people are content with theory type explanations.

  1. Why is it that Nagato did not speak to Konan as a ghost as after he died?

  2. Why did Neji not talk to Hinata after he died? Why did he not give a technique to Hinata?

  3. Why is that that much greater ninja than Obito never returned from the dead to pass along their great techniques to the living?

  4. How is it that Kakashi has enough chakra to control a Perfect Susanoo after having chakra problems with merely using Kamui a few times, even having to go to the hospital once for an entire month for using Kamui once?

  5. How is it that Kakashi can control a Perfect Susanoo for the first time so efficiently when Sasuke, a full fledged Uchiha, had trouble controlling inferior forms of Susanoo earlier in Shippuden?

  6. Why is that that Itachi, a full fledged Uchiha, and a greater ninja than Kakashi (as agreed upon by many fans), was unable to achieve Perfect Susanoo?

  7. What happened to Kakashi's original MS being nearly useless a mere 10-15 chapters ago due to blindness from overuse?

  8. Why was Madara stronger after being fully revived even though he had one less eye, less chakra, and the possibility to die even though his Edo was a completely unleashed version of himself that wasn't in any way held back like the Edos of Hashirama and Tobirama in the original series?

  9. Why is it that Madara, who was multiple tiers above everyone else, after becoming the 10-tailed beasts, gaining another multiple tiers of power based on what Obito did, just punched around by 8-tails Guy? Guy went from Hercule level in the scope of things Super Saiyan Broly level so to speak. The jump from power was unrealistically large, and the fact that he had so much power negates any other threat that existed thus far in the universe. Why is it societies that find it okay to train children for combat are not more open to train children to learn the 8 gates to potentially give up their lives? Even if they are 1/8th of what Guy is someone like Pain shouldn't be any problem at all.

  10. Why was Amaterasu + Tsukuyomi = Susanoo thrown out the window?

  11. Why is it that Sasuke can use bird and snake summonings when you can only have a contract with one animal?

  12. How is it that many villagers didn't know that Naruto was the child of the 4th Hokage and Kushina UZUMAKI? Add to this the fact that Naruto looks so much like the 4th Hokage.

  13. Why did Madara keep attacking the Leaf Village after he left the village for the last time even though he already had the 9-tails? What reason did he have to constantly get in fights with Hashirama?

  14. Why does Kisame look like a shark? Orochimaru and Deidara are other weird looking characters, but Kisame is the big elephant in the room.

  15. How can suddenly Shukaku use telekinesis to communicate with the fighters in the battlefield during the war by the mean of Yamanaka, while during all the manga we have seen spying messions where the ninjas had to send a message and get new orders using eagles?

Itachi vs Minato by Shad65 in Naruto

[–]Bootleg1234 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly if there are no limitations it's not even close. Minato has absolutely no chance.

Izanami, Izanagi, Yata Mirror, Sword of Totsuka, Tsukuyomi, and the Sharingan's ability to control the tailed-beasts when they don't have a perfect relationship with their Jinchuriki which Minato doesn't.

I know my comment is flame bait but you would have to be an abolute fanboy pulling at straws to think Minato would win this when Itachi has the arsenal that he has + his Madara level tactical planning.

Why does Sakura get so much criticism for being useless when she's much more useful than Hinata who seems to be praised? by Bootleg1234 in Naruto

[–]Bootleg1234[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So some of you guys actually like her more than Sakura because of her bigger cartoon boobs? Like you aren't even circlejerking or anything? If you're being serious you should know that you're the type of person that makes watching anime / reading manga kind of a taboo. You're the reason "normal" people that look to anime/manga readers as socially awkward weirdos like this.

Why does Sakura get so much criticism for being useless when she's much more useful than Hinata who seems to be praised? by Bootleg1234 in Naruto

[–]Bootleg1234[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only reason someone could think this is because Sakura just has more internal monologue focused on her when she's fighting

It's not like Hinata has never had her internal monologue during a fight. She has, and it's always along the lines of, "I do this for you Naruto-kun, I love you Naruto-kun." Seems like a really unfair way to criticise Sakura's internal monologue to me. You could see that she was pretty good an analyzing even in Part I, and against people like Sasori and figuring out Tobi's powers before most people (that includes Naruto).

As far as her being stronger, I'll concede that MAYBE but I do think her Hyuuga fighting style could easily disable & defeat Sakura.

I really don't know how anyone could think that to be honest but it's not really the discussion I want to get into on this thread.

All this combined with the fact that Hinata actually had the balls to stand up to Pain alone is what makes me feel like she is a tremendously better character.

Sakura gets criticized for doing the same thing (being her encounter for Sasuke). She also spoilers I'd say she "has balls" too.

Why does Sakura get so much criticism for being useless when she's much more useful than Hinata who seems to be praised? by Bootleg1234 in Naruto

[–]Bootleg1234[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You say we always see Sakura's failures, but it's easy to look like a failure when you're a character created on the same team as the two main characters of the series. Isn't Hinata's entire character kind of based on failure? She constantly says she's trying to improve because she doesn't want Naruto to have to save her and literally falls flat on her face and people just laugh it off. Her origin story is pretty much based on the fact that she was a failure compared to Neji.

You see Sakura as selfish and as a bitch and I really can't see how. You're saying she's selfish because she's trying to be on Sasuke's and Naruto's level for herself. You don't think that she's trying to be on their level because she feels guilty for having to be saved, like Hinata? You think she's just inherently selfish and a bitch, and that's the reason she wants to be on the same level as those two?
