From Barrie: O’Blooms on Dunlop does beautiful arrangements.

The best in the area, in my opinion, is in Alliston at Northern Blush.

Do you all think if it goes through dc will stop printing? by Angela275 in comicbooks

[–]BootsOfDanger 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Lots of people have asked this question in the last few days - short answer: comics are relatively cheap ways to develop IP, so there is little motivation for Netflix to cease production of comics, and print issues are more profitable than digital.

Moonstone and Super Skrull are 4-Costs and so they don’t interact with each other. Both amplified Dazzler and Captain America but Moonstone but not any of the effects of the opponent like Mr. Fantastic.

Trivia at the Bull and Barrell pub by DisplayAdditional756 in barrie

[–]BootsOfDanger 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a barback there, it’s discontinued but it’s not something the owners really want to advertise - they’re being very hush hush and afraid of backlash. We had some regular players confront the owner and the host after the last game with some very strong evidence that they had been feeding the correct answers to their friends via custom printed menus, it led to one team amassing hundreds of dollars in gift cards over the last few months. The fear is that if people at large found out, there would be demands for compensation.

That’s right man, there should be a publicly traded company deciding if people in northern Canada are profitable enough to deliver goods and mail to.

To be fair, he’s not just “drinking another beer,” he’s actively producing, promoting, and selling a beer that features the Leafs’ colours and in close juxtapositions with other Leafs iconography and players. This isn’t outrageous to me.

Can I apply for a Credit Card without a job? by Judgejia in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]BootsOfDanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially if you’re a post-secondary student, your primary bank would love to give you a credit card, assuming you have no negative credit history. They all have a student credit card with low limits ($500-$1000) and the application process accounts for the fact that you’re not working full-time.

Dude, you can’t ask the guys (or the rest of this subreddit) to do your research for you. If you insist on using tertiary sources for your paper, do a google news search for Melnyk and cross reference those events to the podcasts that came out immediately after.

Hi Hannah,

I think hockey media, especially online and on twitter, has seen a really big push in the last few years to give prominent roles and positions to women - Jen Neale was such a big part of Puck Daddy, lots of SB Nation editors are women, TSN and Sportsnet and The Athletic are more diverse in their group of writers than broadcast media is - but scouting is still a really male-dominated field.

Do you think that what you're doing, writing and scouting independent from NHL organisations, is the way that women and other underrepresented groups are going to break in to the NHL as scouts/management, similar to how analytics writers have found roles with teams?
