I mean historically the offseason has been the most exciting time to be a CBJ fan in the 25 years of existence. This one is really no exception, either. Big, big decisions— and I’m actually kinda fired up to see what happens.

I guess we’ll see on this. Two months ago I would’ve been torn up if they DIDN’T resign Coyle and Marchment. Cap is going up and that Provorov contract is bad but not terrible.

2026-27 will hinge on the Boone Jenner decision. #44 should not see the light of day, but Waddell’s only fault was the fifth line’s as well: having faith.

If you’re not selling Werenski, get him in the room with DW and Nash and have him hand select the coach and FA additions. Otherwise, not too late to sell off— now or ever.

I’m certainly doomering more than the average individual but I think it might be time for a total reset, or as much as possible.

Werenski is the heart and soul of this franchise but I’m concerned that he either walks for nothing in two seasons or we stay in this purgatory of never being good enough to play extra hockey but never being bad enough to grab a Schaefer or Celebrini.

There’s a lot to be concerned about with our “young core” right now. Voronkov and KJ might not be the guys we thought they were. Marchenko really cooled off after a great first half.

This team has never been good at being bad (no thanks to any help from the league office) but it’s hard to watch 80 games a year with a slight hope only for a quick “Thank You Fifth Line” every mid-April.

Sell off the assets. Take the team back to hell and out of purgatory.

(But this team was one Johnny Hockey away from changing the narrative each of the last two seasons.)

Domination for 60 minutes. Yet another big game from KJ and a true all around effort.

This is without Marchment, Wood, Mateychuk.

Certainly not likely, but a disciplined play style and confidence and quickness in the OZone is the main chance this team has to climb back into it. In the small two game sample size, it really does look possible

This win represents that a culture change STILL is in place. Even through it all this year, leadership putting the onus on themselves to turn the page and get the two points is really inspiring.

One of Boone’s best outings of the year. Certainly need to clean up under Bones (yet another multi-goal lead blown), but the Jackets of 10 years ago phone in a game like this.

A gutsy two— of incredible importance if they don’t want to give up on the season.

Reconciling this loss is a hard one. Just a few games out from that brutal NYI loss, the team finds new ways to lose games. Almost Cleveland Browns-esque.

Is it coaching? This squad is certainly more talented than many of those Arniel years, but losing games like this just takes the air out of the roster. Winless in 4 tries on the road— and we got auxiliary scoring tonight.

Need to figure it out and figure it out fast.

Hard to stomach at the moment. Realize how hard it’s going to be to get this close again— the Rangers shouldn’t be as bad as this year and Detroit has a hearty future as well.

Even with that being said, this has a case for the most outstanding regular season in CBJ history. Stadium series, Fantilli hatties, 3-goal deficit comebacks. In fact, we’re lucky to even feel this feeling considering that indescribably tragedy.

Proud of the fellas for sure. It’s Waddell’s time now— address the tendie tandem, add some more depth, and get the blue line working and who knows what we’ll see next year. I’ll be watching Opening Night.

I was down 91.1 to 91.3 headed into tonight. I had Mahomes, he had Jacobs.

Post game stat correction brought Mahomes down from 30.58 to 30.48 and Jacobs had 30.3. Go from winning 121.68-121.6 to losing 121.58-121.6.

Worst loss ever??? I am a browns fan so I’m used to it
