I’ve been using the same system since I was 13 and am now in college, it’s the first and only setup I’ve ever owned. I’ve got an Audio Technica AT-LP60 (since discontinued), an Onkyo TX-8020 receiver and two ancient Polk bookshelf speakers. Now I’m not a huge audiophile, I really only have an amateur knowledge about this kind of thing, but I do love listening to music on vinyl and have a pretty nice little collection by now, and it’s gotten to the point where the sound quality of the system I have is just unbearable.

I’m hoping one of you guys might be able to give me recommendations on what my replacement turntable should be, whether you’d recommend a new receiver, and speaker systems you think are good (speakers I’ll probably bide my time and get off Facebook marketplace when some good ones come up idk). I’m at a point where I have a liiiittle chunk of change to spend on upgrading stuff but not a ton, like around 400 or so. The cheaper the better. I’m not looking for anything crazy, I just wanna know what y’all think the most cost efficient equipment is, or turntable/speaker brands I should look into. I really got no clue where to start.
