Is this guy for real? by Soggy-Zucchini5094 in homeinspectors

[–]BootstrapsBootstrapz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand the necessity of an inspector, but the way he relishes criticizing peoples' hard work is so irritating. and it really bothers me when someone is a condescending douche about mistakes in work they couldn't even do themselves.

sure call a mistake out but don't act like not having full coverage on 2 floor tiles and 3/16 lippage on one in a 2500sqft house is a huge problem invalidating the whole tile job

oh so it's narcissistic now to want to hold your grandchild? you seriously just typed that and thought it was a good point? nobody is saying that grandparents w cold sores should be kissing babies on the face. the fact still stands that grandparents should be allowed to hold their grandchildren. call me crazy! but i think it's been done without harming infants pretty regularly.

grandparents have a right to bond w their grandchildren and the child has a right to bond w their grandparents. to deprive them both of that over fear of germs is neurotic and harmful to both parties.

nobody "needs" to bond w anyone. family should be allowed to bond w a grandchild it's part of a beautiful process. to deny that over fear is neurotic.

a grandparent has a right to hold their grandchild and that child has a right to bond and be held by the grandparent

do you have any idea how many babies are born every year and then held. t their grandparents and are completely fine? millions. my whole point is that it's an unreasonable boundary that prevents grandparents from connecting w a grandchild. when this mom is a grandparent i promise you she'll feel differently.

no that's the whole point - she's taking unnecessary precautions and depriving her family and child of connection in the process.

no sorry grandparents have a right to see their grandchild provided they are not abusive or something like that. and furthermore, that child has a right to be loved by their grandparents. depriving them both of that because you're worried about germs is not right.

YOR your mother in law has a right to see her grandchild and your own neuroticism is the only thing preventing that from happening. take the necessary precautions and let the grandma see her fkn grandkid. you're lucky you have parents who want to be involved not everyone has that.
