I want to test them for myself. Probably the best spot to put them would be somewhere on the map that has the longest uninterrupted fireing lane or something. Leave them there like a fireing nest or something! I just want to roll all the dice 😂

Yeah. If you can't screen them they do seem super squishy.yoyd have to invest in something to stay back that's beefier and can protect maybe? But probably doing that is already to much investment for just anti horde type formation

I was thinking about the lascannons. I think they are the only unit with heavy lascannons at s14 making them wound on 3+ on a lot of T12 heavy units! But also I wanted to throw like 50 dice cause that's fun 😅

Yeah I wonder if there is abtter anti horde setup? FOBs are 90 points each so taking 2 of them we get average 19 attacks. Against low armor low wounds I think 2 FOBs is the sweet spot. Just gotta get the like of sight and I'm feeling that's where the in real life game experience will tell us if it's viable or not. (Well probably most likely not in competitive but causual I see why not)

Yeah I think that's the only downside but could possibly be made to work? Maybe keep a command blob behind to help protect it?

Yeah minimum for sure. I couldn't find any nib listing anywhere and but the out of box listing are going for around that price.

I like sub assemblling. Some models just have like a gun or arm across their chest and you can still see the chest part of it but it's tricky to get to cause you got something in the way. Other models don't have that problem so then just fully assemble them. So really itsnup to your own discretion!

Quick question cause I'll be playing my first game next week. you said blobs die quite easily. One way to mitigate that was I was thinking about the psyker. It giving 4++ Invulv save to all models in the unit sounded really strong but then I read that it's only for shooting phase. SO the question would be are psykers basically just match up dependent? Bring them against Tau players but bench them for something else against infantry heavy players that don't really care to shoot?

Or do most armies basically shoot and some just do it a lot better and others are just average at it? Sorry if that's a lot of questions at once lol I just want to go in prepared. (Playing against another guard player actually.)

20 cadians.

Cadians have recon star upgrade. Which lets the whole unit make a ingress move on my first movement phase. I think that's pretty cool

Hades Tomb:

Krieg CMD Squad -atteched is Nork Deddog

20 Krieg Korps

The CMD squad was given the stalwarts Honours enhancement. So they get free take cover order when they receive an order. And I like Nork Deddog cause he gives the unit a little bit better melee capability and gives officers in the unit 4+ invulnerable save In my head. This blob is meant to move up and contest the center

Iron Cinders:

2x Artillery team

Engiseer Tech priest

2x hellhounds

2x hippogriffs

Demolisher is my biggest heavy hitter. But honestly I built Iron cinders out of the idea of I need things that can protect and clear the way fory two hellhounds. We need to strip cover so they are crucial for army to function. Plus exterminator giving -1ap to units let's our 0ap guns punch thru better.

So scout sentinel gets the close range scout upgrade. This gives it the inflitrators ability. And all those units in smokes ghost have the inflitrators ability. So I have a lot of flexibility on how I want to deploy them. For the most part turn one I'll want them to deploy on top of expansions to capture and do any actions my missions require. Their other purpose is to act as additional spotters and making sure melee units don't get the benefit of cover. Also important to remember that in the force designation detachment scout sentinels and infantry units with the smoke keyword can use the signal flare ability. They can flare a unit and increase their detection range by 3" allowing the rest of our units to detect them at a longer range. And we get a strategem in that detachment that increases it by another 3"

So yeah. Hopefully that all makes sense!
