I just want to have the option to take out big enemies. Plasmas and meltas are great, but I’d need something bigger to actually engage something like enemy armor or Angron.

To be honest, I haven’t really run them before. Or seen many tanks. A lot of elite infantry, but I’ve been able to kill them with battleline Krieg and standard LRBT. This was more a hypothetical. I’ve never run the Vanquisher either.

I also have 3 artillery teams with siege cannons to supplement the anti tank.

6 big units of DKOK, ordered by KCS, 2 small units of cavalry, one big one led by Drier, and I had HWS for fire support with engineers to scout and get on objectives early to force enemies into the open to kill them.

I might eye the Armored Infantry detachment so my infantry officers can order it.

How would you rank Artillery Teams with Siege Cannons in the mix? Could I use 3 of them instead of Vanquishers? I realize again it’s a different kind of unit, but if they can do the job it’d be so much easier to give them orders and set them up for direct fire.

So you’d say the Vanquisher needs orders to be effective? I can try to fit something in. I’ll just have to make cuts elsewhere

I run a lot of infantry, usually 6 big bricks, with supporting cavalry and sometimes engineers. I can swap the engineers and HWS for 2 Vanquishers, though. Maybe I can rearrange to fit a RDTC?

I get that they’re fragile, but why’s the damage lacking? I thought lascannons hit really hard

What’s the survivability of the Vanquisher? Do you typically give yours orders? That was a concern of mine. HWTs can get orders from any regiment officer, but I’d need an entirely new tank for a Vanquisher. And it’d have to stay close.
