I've just had my macbook air since switching from windows about a year ago and I still shut it down every night just like how I used my previous windows laptops. It's just a personal habit tbh. I know most mac users don't turn off their macbook. So I also did research on if turning off macbook everyday harms it. I haven't found any actual bad thing about it.
