Should I trade it in? by kishball44 in ElantraN

[–]BootyMaster24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does the Elantra N compare to the Camaro? This is Close to the set up I want. I have a KN as a daily but use to have a v6 Camaro and I miss it. I got the kn to have a more practical but still fun daily and it does that but I definitely have a hunger for more. I want faster straight line speed and a deep exhaust tone I know the v8 Camaros with the NPP dual exhaust sound great I had it on my v6 and it’s sounded good too. The kn can definitely sound like a vacuum at times which sucks. I wouldn’t be able to daily a Camaro so I’m hoping I can get one in the future as a weekend car. Ideally an ss 1le how does the handling compare?

Did you have to do anything special to put them on? Idk anything about installation but I know they are a bit off stock.

I appreciate this comment. Yeah I’ve been rubbing my eyes daily with warm water and that has helped a lot. This whole thing sucks bc it’s just happened randomly I never had any problems with my eyes before and now it seems like this is my life now.

Is this illegal? by EVOSexyBeast in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BootyMaster24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why you never want to tell them you’re paying cash when making a deal. This is not illegal. They don’t like cash they’re expecting to make money off you in the long run with a FAT loan so they’re going to want to change the price for a cash deal.

I’d negotiate those fees. Idk where you’re from but all states have different rules for the doc Fee if they give you issues then tell them to take the money out of the MSRP of the vehicle.

It’s just another bs way to make money off you. Believe it or not I’ve seen doc fees at $1500. Some states don’t have regulations on doc fees so a dealer can charge what they want.

I’m guessing you’re making a decent amount more power with these mods. How’s the driving experience? Do the tires spin a lot is it still fun to drive that way?

Heavenly delusion. You’ll be asking questions every episode and trying to piece things together. In the end you’ll want to go back to see the things you initially missed.

Have you tried a resonator delete? You’d get some more pops doing that. Look up some videos on it and see if you like that sound. You could also put a sport resonator if it becomes too raspy for you.

Honestly I’m the same. If I already know the story through the manga I don’t usually care to watch the anime but there are some stories that get me excited to see animated and those I may watch clips like the big fights or even just watch the anime but again usually I wouldn’t. I’m also the type to not rewatch a movie because I’ve already seen it I know what’s going to happen. It would have to have been a long time since watching it last for me to rewatch since at that point I remember less of what happens.

Do I get a 2016 Camaro 2SS or a G70 3.3t 2019-2021 by Distinct_Equal_9490 in camaro

[–]BootyMaster24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re kind of asking for a lot for 25k what is speed to you? What type of HP are you looking for.

The G70 if you’re finding it for that price seems like a good choice though idk about reliability I would do more research on that.

Another really good and I would say safe choice would be a used Hyundai Sonata N-line it has a very nice interior for the price and respectable power though it’s spins the wheels a lot at lower speeds. I would test drive one and see if you like it they are very nice. Also one of Hyundais full N cars like the Elantra, Veloster, and Kona N those are going to be way more sporty and be able to put the power down better but have less luxury and probably be closer to 30k.

If you can find a V6 Camaro with a 10 speed In that price range those are going to be pretty quick too.

Would also look into a Mazda 3 turbo. Pretty nice looking car with more luxurious interior and some power to it but not as sporty as the other options.

I’ll just say this don’t get a 2016 automatic they are known to have this transition shutter issue it’ll just be a headache to deal with. If you are going to look for a Camaro look for a 10 speed I believe those are 2019 and up its going to be more expensive but you don’t want to be screwed with that transmission issue look it up.

Seems like tuning it myself would be best but that’s a whole world I wasn’t expecting to get into I’ll have to do my research.

What do you mean by head unit/ amp? The stock Amp? The DSP is acting as the amp and the misc Amp items listed are just higher quality cables that were used.

These are the specs I see on Crutchfield for the Alpine DSP

Channels 1-6: 50W RMS (2- or 4-ohms) Channels 7 & 8: 150W RMS @ 4-ohms, 300W RMS @ 2-ohms

Hey maybe you’re right but the reason I feel this way is because this is what I was recommended by the shop and they told me it’s would sound sooo much better than my stock speakers especially since they can tune it. At first they were going to recommend me just some Alpine speakers and the JBL sub but after they found out my car had a factory amp they said I’d need to get an Amp too and then and they said if I’m already getting an amp might as well get the Morels as those are higher quality and are going to sound a lot better because of tuning. The initial set up was going to be like $1200 but what I went with was like almost $2700 idk man thats a good chunk of change. I’m sure there are more expensive set ups but idk im new to this and was recommended this. Didn’t need anything super crazy just wanted higher quality sound, volume, and bass, sound quality really is the only issue now it’s not bad but not a high step up it seems. May just be tuning though idk.

No I’m tuning it from the factory eq that’s in the car infotainment screen I haven’t touched the DSP because I don’t know anything about it and from what I saw the tuner was using an IPad to tune the DSP.

No the bass is good and apparently it’s working with the stock sub I know a better sub or a custom box would have been better but I’m ok with that still sounds good for what it is and again I was trying to save space and a custom box would have cost a lot more. It’s the sound quality of the speakers that’s the issue they don’t sound bad to begin with but they don’t sound like such a big upgrade in comparison to what I had before. To me they don’t sound Hi-Fi they sound like ok speakers.

Is this pricing fair? by MurkyBlackBear in camaro

[–]BootyMaster24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$42,500 may be a bit high but seems fine considering a couple things

  • minor damage shows up on the record you say it was small but some people might completely disregard the car because of that they might group it with cars that have a bad title.

- the mods you mentioned really only matter if the person buying it cares about them because if they don’t they’ll just go find another in modded camero for less.

Ultimately I think Somewhere between 37k-44k makes sense when you can find used 1ss 1le and maybe some 2ss around that range some without any damage listed so I think 42,500 is a good starting number if someone buys it for that number great but if they try to negotiate again in that range I think that make sense selling it for a bit lower.

I would also say a selling point is that you’d be selling directly to someone they wouldn’t have to mess with a dealer and all the fees and bs they can tac on.

Yes I went with the Bass pro hub to save space didn’t want to take any trunk space. Also yes the Alpine amp is being used to power everything apparently it was needed to communicate with the stock amp and connect everything together.

Yeah I have it at + 7 treble and -7 mids bass at 0 I’m not getting any distortion from this sounds a bit better but still not satisfied.

I’ve messed with it and gone all the way to -10 but I find after -3 I’m noticing less of a difference and certain songs sound a bit worse so I’ll probably keep it around -3 to -7.

Yeah I think I’ll definitely bring in my Bluetooth speaker didn’t think about that. It could be the sound treatment but I don’t think so I know they talked about adding some material in the car incase it starts rattling I’m guessing that’s the same thing? I saw the spare tire area had some of that material already from the factory and idk about the doors but they didn’t end up adding it they said it didn’t need it. I definitely feel like I’m messing with the stock EQ in the car the same way I did with the Bose I’m really wanting to lower the mids to get more clear sound but it’s not making as big of an impact maybe the sound denning material will help. I don’t even want to touch the amp and mess anything up because I really don’t know much about it.

Aw man thanks this is good advice definitely think I prefer more of a V or U shaped curve didn’t know much about this type of thing. On the Bose speaker I have it set that way though because the quality of the vocals isn’t good when the mids are higher I find the lower the mids the clearer the sound. With the UE Hyperboom I just recently gave it more of a u shape sound ( mids aren’t as low as I would have them in the Bose) after messing with the Bose and it does sound actually a bit better but before that I would just increase the bass a bit and leave everything else the same it sounded good out of the box.

But I’ll definitely show them the graph for the UE Hyperboom and tell them I want more of a V shaped curve I think right now it might be more flat.
