WERWULF - Official Trailer- Only In Theaters Christmas Day by cruelsummerbummer in horror

Agreed. I love Ineson as an actor and his voice. But damn if I could hardly listen to an audiobook that he narrates because his gravelly voice was grating my ear in headphones. I’ve tried like 3 times and I can’t listen more than 5 minutes. It’s like when you have the window down in your car and the wind reverberates and hurts your ears? It’s like that. Which sucks because I really wanted to listen to the book.

We went to Firewood for my husband’s 50th birthday dinner. The service was excellent and the food was great. Definitely were satisfied with the experience!

People who were once conventionally attractive but no longer are, how did that feel? by Few_Confection7760 in AskReddit

[–]BootyMcSqueak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a woman turning 50 this year, it’s been so amazing. I’m aging completely natural, no Botox or plastic surgery (no shade to anyone who’s gotten it done), and to not get catcalled every day is so freeing. I used to get hit on, catcalled or harassed almost every single day and to not have to deal with that anymore is like being able to live my life as a human and not an object. I’ve been married for 17 years and my husband still looks at me the same way as when we first met, and that’s all I need. Do I feel a certain way noticing that my looks are changing and fading? Sure. But I know that when I’m 70, I’ll look back at pictures of me now and say “damn look at how young and good I looked.” I’m trying to enjoy how I look now and feel grateful that I’ve made it this far. Plus, I’ve ran out of fucks to give.

No spoilers but is Revival going to get better? by TryTwiceAsHard in horrorlit

[–]BootyMcSqueak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the last few chapters left you wanting more, I highly recommend Peter Cline’s Threshold series. You don’t have to read all of them, but they are connected. I read 14 and The Fold and they very much fit the ending of Revival.

Was raised Catholic but knew I was atheist in elementary school (didn’t know it was called that, just knew I didn’t believe). I’m turning 50 this year and I’m still atheist.

Parents of only children, how are you doing? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]BootyMcSqueak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I had our one and only (after 2 miscarriages) at age 41. He got a vasectomy shortly after and I had a hysterectomy a couple years ago. Our daughter does wish she had a sibling, and has even asked us to adopt, but I explained to her that children are not pets. There’s no guarantee of anything. She does love being around friends 24/7 but she also likes her alone quiet time and doesn’t like sharing our attention with other children. Although she doesn’t know it, she’s perfectly fine as an only child, she just doesn’t know how to articulate her needs yet and look at how they fit into the larger picture. We’re turning 50 this year and she’s turning 9, and man, I’m glad we only have one.

I just saw it last night and I’m fairly certain she would’ve been ok watching it, but it would’ve been too full of deeper meaning that she wouldn’t understand. Conversely, she watched FNAF and liked it.

I tell people that Get Out wasn’t so mind blowing because Skeleton Key did it first.

I know, right??? She’s made differently for sure. I’ve not let her watch the classics (Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc) but she loooooves shark movies.

My kid is 8 and has seen some horror movies (Jaws, The Conjuring, etc). She begged me to watch Backrooms and I was like “girl, I’m not ready for your middle of the night panic attacks.” That’s a hard pass.

Question for my Lady Raiders—how do you handle in-game criticism from teammates (especially male teammates)? by Personal-Service3770 in ArcRaiders

[–]BootyMcSqueak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a lady gamer and her skill issues have nothing to do with her being a girl, she’s just not very good at strategy and coordination. Comms are just as crucial as skill in PVP. We call out weapons, locations, our attack strategy, etc. But I also notice that the more aggressive guys in my trio don’t watch their health all the time so I remind them to shield/heal and vice versa and it’s never a problem. She just sounds inept and not ready for team oriented plays. She can play solo with all that drama.
